Wine, Beer, Whiskey




So the New Year is a coming...many of you will venture out to a party, or a street fair of sorts...to celebrate the end of '23 and the hopes of '24...right?...the rest of us, will be glued to the pixels and WATCH celebrations throughout the World...the pageantry, the crowds, and the fireworks...and music...the younger generations doin their thang...all cool...we fit into the pixel group...I dunno kids, with all the hatred running about, going to a mass thing, is very testy...anyhoo, to get yourself in the mood (you GET in the mood)...I recommend a video by one of my favs, Little Big Town...the title is indicative of the nite before us...'Wine, Beer, Whiskey'...you are welcome...

You know I ragged on the Beavers in their bowl game show...really, not the fault of the guys and coaches who were there...the others?...yea...hate the portal...and then...FSU...Florida St, still smarting from the snub by the BSBCS...sat, left, or whatever, like 20 of their best players...and got humbled by Georgia, that did not show the hurt of the same group...63-3, in the worst rout in the history of the damn bowl games...the WORST, Jerry...a waste of time...and both of those teams, OSU and FSU, should have canceled...guess they had to show up to meet conditions, and get the $...and then be humiliated...

Oh my...my concerns about the rigging of NFL games...how the refs have never been charged...yet, countless amounts of cash are bet on EVERY game...an article in SI said that some refs had been approached to throw games...but, it was just a rumor...right...the debacle at the end of last nite's Cowboy/Lion game was mighty smelly...the coach from Detroit told the ref PRIOR to the game, a trick play that he had would be used...described in detail what was to happen...the stage is set...


The Lions score with under a minute to go...down by 1...and decide to go for two...to end the game right then and there...rather than kick the Xtra point and go OT...the trick play, is called...the tackle eligible...goes off like a charm, completion and the Lions go ahead...wait a minute, buster...the Ref said the guy who caught the ball, never checked in to him...no score, penalty...replay the attempt...now, the strange shit...the player did go up to him and said 'reported'...the ref turned deaf ear and didn't hear him...the Lion QB specifically sent the player over to check in...all on tape, kids...you could see him go five yards over to the ref...why else in the world would he go over there?...never, ever, would under any circumstance...the coach told this ref emphatically, that this was their trick play...no review...and the Lions lost that and the try...and the game...something is going on...never, EVER, bet on the NFL...

Is it 'inept' or 'accepting a bet' officiating?...

The end of the year, and right, the end of the month...shoot, which I should have used in the above paragraph...well, my type of paragraphs...the Horse language...that means the damn bills...yes, I put off until today...the Xmas decor?...down today, too...it's supposed to be a lazy Sunday...hardly, it appears...and then prep for the new year...geez, I am going to be too tired for that...have golf in the am...you think being retired isn't busy time?...

HEY!...the Pistons WON...the streak is over at 28!!!...beat the Raptors...by 2...makes no diff, how many...just needed a win so badly...done...now they have 1 win in a row...

About a week or so ago...I told you about the Houthis who were robbing ships in the Red Sea...well, we took three of their attack boats OUT...and so it goes...it never ends...

Apple talk...so much is being said about the series 16 and 17...we have 13's...that work just fine...how they will be a tad bigger, in length and screen size...tried to get the 15, but was not through paying for the 13, yet...you confused?...yea, me too...titanium?...well, made my golf ball go further...maybe if I throw my iPhone, it will, too...go further...

Do you make new year's resolutions?...me neither...I would never keep them...what's the difference from last month to today, if I wanted to do something?...nuttin...it's a thing, that I don't do...

Did you know, that LeBron James complains outrageously EVERY time he gets hit with a foul...goes berserk...rants and raves, and asks his coach to do the review thang...as I viewed him dribble the ball off his tummy twice in a dribble drive to the hoop last nite...triple dribble, that was not called...any other player, and they would get hit with a T bone...any other...

BTW, the Beavers and the Seminoles had absolutely NO RAISINS left...they were all gone...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
