This is the unique time of the year...the end of October...when the leaves turn color (other than here in SD)...ha ha...the days grow shorter...the heat seems to disappear...we grapple for the perfect Halloween costume...coughing becomes a norm...flu shots are abundant...and all the major pro sports are played at the SAME TIME!...complete TANGENCY!!!!...check it out...MLB, as the World Series starts...NHL (hockey, you doofs)...NFL...and the start up of the NBA...listen, if you are a sports junkie, it is YOUR time of the year...hope you are not a bettor of 'em...

The DBacks (Arizona Diamondbacks) did it!...beat the Phillies, and won the trip to the World Series, to face the Texas Rangers...who'd a bet on that early on?...they didn't even end the regular season right...and hung on to gain the 6th wild spot...then, suddenly, caught fire all over again...baseball is different than all the other sports...I tell ya...speaking of the game...Bob Melvin did bolt to the Giants...weird set of circumstances...as GM AJ Preller will now have 7 different managers guide the Padres...which tells me, and you, this guy is a complete mockery of the business...how he isn't given the heave ho, befuddles me...I am definitely fuddled...wonder if he noticed how Arizona won?...they brought in relief pitchers at the trade deadline....he didn't...wake up San Diego Padre owners...
