The Best Doggone Chowder



We are talking CLAM CHOWDER...it doesn't take a lot for some joint to affix the Best!...to it's markee...marquis?...anyhow...if someone tells you it is in fact, the BEST...then use it...to be sure, there are 2 general types...New England and Manhattan...ah, ha...the Boston vs New York thang...the Horse is going to stick to the creamy one, er whitish one...the New England...as we, of past times, frequented the Oregon Coast...and had what was called the Best Clam Chowder at Mo's...a perfect combo of the clams and all the goodies with it...topped with butter and paprika...alas, along comes the birthday boy, Snooki (his 76th?), and proclaims his bar of choice, that he often frequents, has a better one...did he say best?...others up and down the coastline of the Pacific...tout that theirs is the 'Best!'...now, it doesn't take much to claim it...someone just say it...I could say the best blogger in the SoCal region is Crazy Horse...who is to claim otherwise?...I digress, we are talking chowder, Horse...well, we happened upon a place in Encinitas...that had the most different clam chowder I have ever had...more soupy than most...but, a flavor that was 'out of this world', to borrow my dad's favorite saying...Boss said it was delicious, but not the very BEST, that she laid out as Mo's...and that's just this left coast...we will test the waters of the right coast in less than 2 weeks...to see if there is competition for the nomenclature...'The Best Clam Chowder!'...to be sure, it is NOT in a can...

We ended up in Encinitas, due to the fact that I bribed Boss into accompanying me to the horse races...with a trip to her favorite 'Encinitas Fish House'...this is the 1st time we had the chowder there...just a scant 5 miles from the track...give or take...it's what we must do, to entice our spouses to go along...those in tow, know what I mean...

Talk about turnarounds...was I?...Kansas is known for it's hoops...but, now they have a gridiron team...a fun squad...it's been like 30 years, since they have had one, that is not downright laughable...yea, a newish coach...with recruiting abilities...it's all about that...anyhoo, got back to see them manhandle the Big 18's Illinois...the Jayhawks in black uni's?...ah...

Horrific news out of Morocco...as it endured, wait, had an earthquake that just decimated the area....over 800 dead...in a disaster like no other....hmmm, similar death totals to Lahaina...life is precious, kids...now, at over 1,000...and growing...

The Vegas Boyz had the Friars losing to the Astros in Texas...alas, an 11-2 beat down, by the Pads, ruined the Boy's bets...of course, Snell, was delivering...and the guys bats, were alive...guess, it's all about respect, now...the Horse said that this was a 2 year plan...

The servant to the orange...Mark Meadows...tried in vain to get his trial out of the state of Georgia...no deal, MM...he wanted to get into a Fed Court...right...it was turned down, and now, like all the rest of 19 will see the Georgian courtroom...it's a good thing...clang!...

Funny, I would bring this up...but, for most of my life...I have turned to comedians to get a laugh...so many were out there...in TV land...and some concerts...but, now, where have they gone?...not the oldies, I know where they went...but, the comedians, in general...where are they?...who does this?...

OK, and this...when I watch football games...I want an announcer to give the play by play...then the analyst to pop in and give the reasons why...BUT, I don't want the play by play guy (or gal) ANALYZING, too...stick to what you do...the guy with Herbstreit drives me loco...shut up, dude...

Now, that's off my chest...some games to tickle you....Nebraska at Coach Prime...Utah at Baylor...Texas A&M at Miami...UO at Texas Tech...Texas at 'Bama...UCLA at SDSU...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
