Shut Down

Wish I was talking The Beach Boys song, ‘Shut Down’....but I’m not...it’s the government yet again...this time due to the House...inner squabble of the republican leadership...McCarthy running in fear of the extreme minority of his party...Gaetz and his band of 7....it’s a mess, kids...and who pays the price?...the people do...the ones that sit back...and suffer at the hands of the elected ones...this is not unique, by the way...it happens often...

Yesterday, I talked about the demise of our form of government...be aware of the intentions of trump...get it in your brains, before it does happen...my warnings, are just that...the judicial system will probably take care of that....probably...as we will all watch the workings of democracy....

Hey, how about those Beavs!...a shocking, yet convincing 21-7 win over Utah...dang, those Vegas boys know their biz...I slept at half, but there was no doubt who the better team was...this last year of the PAC whatever is tough!...

The Friars?...won again...finishing strong...recall my declaration...it’s a 2 year plan...now, if we can just dump GM AJ...that would be splendid...

Boss and I drove to Montecito for a weekend with the kids....the only tough part, was right before the destination spot on the 101...we will go via Amtrak from now on...unless by Cosmo...

Oh my, the Euros are whomping the US at the Ryder Cup...not a match...egads...wow, I thought it would be close...not a slaughter...

My question for the day...is there a blockade on the idea of the United States electing a woman as president?...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
