A Picture


There are too many things to write about this morning...this pix is from the kids dining room...the oil rigs, with their lights, off the coastline...as you see, I am up early...

This land that they live in...their posse...are all young and vibrant...families...that have so much life, it is fun to be a part of...granted a few days max...and realize that was us, 40 some years ago...reality smacks me in the face...

For so many elders, fathers and mothers...how and why would we fit in?...perhaps, we wouldn’t...might this be a conundrum?...false narrative...relocating and being a burden?...man, how many elders feel just like that?...

The good Dr Cris, has a rad group of young dudes...10 or so...that meet up to play a great round of golf...literally 80 yards past me...hit the ball and drag the elder...it’s cool to see and hear them...but, I do not fit...

There was a party at the club...terrific venue for the parents and their kids...us, with years on them, watch and enjoy the show...

I think I got in this morose mood, hearing that a fellow elder...76 yr old Jimmy Buffett...died...recalling he had a restaurant on the Lahaina front...that burnt down...part of his stress and breakdown?...

So today, Boss and I go house hunting in this area...the possible relocation tour...as you see, today I have some reservations...other days, I am pumped...there are needs...by the kids...and by us...

Moving..........on...

Texas...is going to put an armed guard at ALL school gates...good?...many schools have way more than one entry...I dunno...

Democrat leaders are opening an inquiry into Jared’s money excursion with Saudi Arabia...the Repubs felt it was okay to go after Prez Bs fam...tit for tat...

The Ducks host PSU today...not that east coast one, but Portland St...and Vegas doesn’t even have a line on it...nooner...

Colorado (Prime) takes on TCU...hope they get slaughtered!...detest him...

A buffoon...DeSantis of Florida (DF)...asked for Fed help due to Idalia, but won’t meet with Prez B when he arrives at the scene...jerkdom...

The thing...to be photographed in the front row of either Taylor Swift’s or Beyoncé’s concerts...who’s who shows up....I was in the front row of Sara Evans...alas, no pix of that...c’mon, I’m the Horse...

So the other Proud Boy...who got an 18 year prison sentence...tried to be good...until he got the hammer...and then yelled out “trump won!”...he has 18 years to repeat his comment...

Time for some grub...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
