The Truth


I am not a reviewer...far from it...BUT...I can see what's what...and have a 'one man's opinion'...er, the Horse's View...something like that...and we have seen many many concerts over our lifetimes...all genres...even the almost newbies...love the oldies...of course...and the country stuff, which we have absolutely fallen in love with...the late 60's and 70's music is to die for...unfortunately, many of those artists are doing just that...

In the near past, we have seen Diana Ross, Little Big Town, and The Beach Boys...and last eve, the one and only Neil Young....who has been popularized with many many hits...outside of his collaboration with Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young...but, something happened last eve, the same that happened when my son and I saw Hall and Oates in Vegas a while back...they played their 'new stuff' and none, or very little of the songs that made them WHO THEY ARE!...

Young played songs that he said were 'in the vault and were still good'...the ears are the deciders...they were NOT GOOD!...his voice was still the same...but, lord, what on earth was he trying to prove?...probably 10,000 fans were there for his hits...they were polite...as they waited...and waited...and endured what he thought was good...they were not...we chose to bolt...as many others did the same...

It was one of the very worst concerts we have ever gone to...the worst?...in the conversation...part of, but not the real problem, was the seating...very similar to Humphreys...too tight...and very hard to see the stage...and for some reason, the big screens were not used...bah humbug...all in all, a very bad happening...

We were warned by our son, as to what was gonna occur...as they saw him last week at the Santa Barbara Bowl...that crowd got restless, and one soul yelled out 'sing some rock and roll, Neil!'...Young responded with 'you're an asshole'...classy...

For you who have tickets to this version of him...good luck...have patience...and you too, have been forewarned...

The prosecution rests...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
