The Sushi Experience



You are never too elder to learn...ha ha...as we took it upon ourselves to get out...after din din, to surf the Gaslamp...see what was new and bold...ventured into a slammed sushi restaurant...down on 5th and up the elevator, one goes...the ONLY spot available was at the sushi bar...so be it, we took it...for youse who know us, this place is right across from where we used to live...the point, get to the point, Horse...we only had a drink...BUT, started to talk to the sushi maker dude...there were five...and he was by far, the fastest...told us how he did it, and what they used...the holding wrapper is a thin radish!...anyhoo, it got me interested, and next time...when we haven't eaten prior...will have one...he recommended the sea bass...it is, my friends, an art...

You know, I took my own blog entry and did make some fried chicken...got some bodacious legs at Costco...and decided to fry and also, air fry, some...and check out the difference...the result?...both were fine, BUT, the fried ones were much more attractive...lovely brownish...perhaps, tannish...and oh so delicious...really...yup, tater salad, was with 'em...and some perfect strawberries...that time of the year, down here...I would say, that the Horse is NOW a bonafide...

The passing of people...like when their life ends...it takes an obituary to actually to get to know them...you know what I mean?...most of your friends, like true friends...you know their history...but, sorta ones, peops you say 'hey' to...one such is the passing of a Frank Hoevet...in Salem, Oregon...I knew him for YEARS at the local sports shop in town, Bill Beard's...where we got ALL our stuff, playing and then coaching...terrific guy, but the point, get to the point Horse...he also was Native...the Hoevet thing threw me off...it was his adopted name when young...RIP...

This 'Threads' social media thang...I registered on it...not exactly sure what's what...but, it seems to be another of the same as Twitter...you know, we get news faster via these media things, than on the pixels...which is my draw...check it out...go to your App Store and download it...free...

The Mets roll into town (city?) for a set...2 of the oldest teams in beisbol...however, we just cut 43 yr old Cruz...maybe that drops us out of the conversation...wouldn't it be nice to win our 4th in a row?...Yu is going today...

Did you see where the new star of the Spurs (NBA)...the 7'4" guy...he is in Vegas for the Summer League...and he was walking thru a casino...and some gal tried to get his attention...tapped him on the shoulder...ah, and then his Spur's body guard back slapped her outta the way...you know, we all need bodyguards now...thing is, it was Britney...unconfirmed rumor was that she said 'what the heck, this is Britney, bitch...'...and now, the shit has hit the fan...duck and cover...

There is this spray that YOU can buy...'shark repellent'...right...if YOU are in the ocean waters, outside of DeSantis's Florida (DF), spray this on...see if the stuff works...if not, well, we shall read about you later...

Dwight Howard, says he is in the list of top 10 centers of ALL TIME in the NBA...is this a trump thing, say it enough and someone will believe you?...he is not...not in the top 100...

We just dropped in to see what the ....well, to see what the local merchant had on sale for Friar jerseys...and lo and behold, Pappi and Cy are now owners of some bonafide 'Tatis, Jr' ones...he doesn't know yet...and seeings that the offspring don't read my blog...(doesn't?)...it will be a surprise for the boy...he does love the Padres....

Off to wine country today...staying at Pala...and going to the Little Big Town Concert...these 4 are simply terrific...great harmonies...can't wait...see ya, very late tomorrow...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
