The Kremlin Says...

They want us all to believe them, this time...ah, now, they are telling us the truth...we may have fibbed before, but this time it is legitimate...trust us...you may be thinking this is the line of trump...and whatever is left of his entourage...but NO...I am referring to the Kremlin...the Russian leadership, I guess...which has released this fable...that Putin and the leader of the rebellion, Prigozhin, met...just days after the uprising came to an abrupt end...they say, Prigozhin and nearly 3 dozen mercenary commanders were confabbing with Putin...so...where are these dudes now?...it has been hinted that Prigozhin got a sweet deal...he could go in to hiding...hmmm, does this sound like what the Putin regime would offer?...historically, he would be killed immediately...something doesn't add up, Kremlin...

The MLB takes the center stage with it's All Star Game...Home Run Derby...all kinda fun...this time in Seattle...we had it a few years back, and we went to it...moseyed all about the park and took it in...cool to see so many fans of all teams...the foreigners just loved San Diego...there was some sentiment to hold it here EVERY TIME!...we have 2 in it this time around..Soto and Hader...BTW, we did get the series vs the Mets...as Manny hit 2 dingers to help the cause...SP Musgrove was splendid and moved to 8-2...oh yea, my sneaky poop insider had Verlander going...nope, it was Scherzer...nice win, lads...

The Horse did not golf today...under the weather....as had something that upset, make that, destroyed my stomach...and you probably know what that leads to...yuck...

So, the latest in the fashion world for the 'it girls'...ah, 'ladies'...is the coverups that are actually mens...big, overcoats...OK, then the 'it guys' should be countering with tiny two piece bikinis...count me in...and for sure, the ponytail...wait, that's already done by the 'it guys'...

The New York Times has disbanded it's sports department...wondered that, as we got the paper a couple of weeks ago, and...NO SPORTS!...now, I am worried about the printed pages...it's what us bikini ladened dudes read...

The LPGA had their major at Pebble Beach...I had no idea who was in the hunt...I mean, I saw the names ...but, had no idea who they were...a problem...perhaps, just me...but there needs to be familiarity for the tour to prosper...

Turkey is vetoing Sweden getting into NATO...why?...wait, just saw that they changed their vote...so who is left to black ball them?...I think they may get the nod, after all...

Mid season...time for some franchises to do some clean up work...like firing guys...MLB...the Yankees struck first...firing their hitting coach...a normal Padre tactic...it must be him...that's the reason the Boyz ain't hitting...listen, coaches, if you want to stay in the game...be a pitching coach, a catcher's coach in the pen, a 2nd in command to the field manager, or be a minor league manager...but, DO NOT take the hitting coach job...be the 1st or 3rd base coach...anything BUT, the hitting coach...be an interpreter to the foreign guys on the club...shoot, be the analyst to the club via the pixels...anything, but the hitting coach...

I'm gonna say this right now...this Friar team...could be a 2 year set up...if not this season, next for sure...we are lacking some relief pitching...so close...AJ, you reading me?...figure it out...I do believe we will make a run at it this year...keep on a chugging...along...

The debacle at Northwestern and their hazing tactics for the football team...alleged stuff that does not belong anywhere...gross...and I fear, more widespread than just at this school...you take the word 'bullying' and multiply it by 100...I don't believe that coaches know about this crap...there is too much time away from the field...if they do, it should be immediate termination...BUT, all you coaches, it's time to keep tabs on your program...even if it means, cutting your best players...I'll bet you, when you were sitting down with the players parents, you were preaching what a great and decent school...their son would be attending...c'mon, clean it up, guys...and NOW!...
