Nature Calls


As I awakened to the sounds of a couple of owls...hooting nearby...the awesome sounds of being in the wild, Wild West...well, in the countryside...these magnificent hills of Montecito...the kids compound is a forest ladened piece of earth...so so different from our urban, high rise living...now 16+ years...this is a great place to raise their kids...and I probably can’t put it into words, the beauty...

The Amtrak ride was so settling...to sit back, and cruise thru LA is divine...in lieu of white knuckle driving a rig in the 405...so nice to have this service back up and running...as it shuttered for awhile, due to a mountain slide...6 hours, but well worth it...they treat you so well...I love the sites, too...BTW, so few homeless by the tracks, like before...

Was informed that those sounds are NOT owls, but a bird that sits on the telephone lines...they make the same sounds...

The grand kids have grown so...much!…baby Cas is walking now...almost 1 yr old...make that RUNNING....Cy is talking like a magpie...man, life is so cool...

So today, we go to open houses...searching?…so spendy here, tho....we are on a fixed income...have I told you that?...

News...trump lives longer, minus the hammer...speaks in Iowa to a very happy to see him crowd...go figure...these people must be full fledged loonies, er, Magas...they get what they deserve...

The Friars in a stomp...Musgrove again...we score 7...we win these games...now, can we do it again?…the Beach Boys...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
