In a Quandry


The major episodes of the '24 election are yet to come...but, some things can emerge...of course, I am leaning towards the talk of the republicans...with a seemingly insurmountable lead, trump appears to be heading streamlined to the nod...unless, he gets himself into trouble with the law...BUT, I watched the Jake Tapper interview of the guy in 2nd place...Ron DeSantis of DeSantis's Florida (DF)...my take?...a most unlikable bloke...arrogance beyond compare...the answers he gave, were not only non-stop, but without a nary of tangency to the Q...which means, he has a chance in that party...ha ha...

One thing the Horse will NOT do...is debate politically with friends...joke yes, true debate, NO...the other side is clearly there with them...I get it...for different reasons...my biggest neutrality note...is that of 'illegals' entering the country...shoot, all of their past generations were 'illegals' getting into my land...they now consider it theirs...and, to dig on trump, the reply is often 'Hillary'...or 'Hunter'...there is no winner here...they are not to be persuaded, nor am I...so, let's not go there...hit the ball...

Speaking of that...the difference in the golf here and abroad...well, in Great Britain...the extreme wind, cold, and patches of earth, that are natural...and the bloody pot bunkers...and what is termed 'The Open' is extremely fun to watch...so vastly different from the 'now no longer illegals' golf courses in the USA...I digress...

The Friars are on a roll...won 2 in Canada...the 3rd is at 10 today...a sweep?...man, that has been a very loooong time...the airwaves are filled with potential trades that AJ may make...fire the dude...

The Jason Aldean song...'Try That in a Small Town'...which has brought out the division in the country to the forefront, again...already is number 1...we all can believe what we want...and we do...this is an extreme sounding board...and video...of the differences in our country...

On a completely different topic (whew)...I got this elastic sports tape for my injured groin...it performed miraculously!...no pain...and gain...I was shocked...I purchased the 'original' and the package said the 'pro' was even more supportive...hmmm, this one worked just fine...and mine was cotton...the 'pro' is not...

180* here....do you take vitamins?...well, us elders have a stable of pills we do take...I have found that the vitamin C and the multi vitamins are quite nice for moi...they are the gummy variety...who really knows if they are doing anything...but, I have fewer cramps than ever before...

Why is it that ladies soccer is better in the US, than the guys version?...we have a bonafide worldwide contender...2 years running....I do watch them...is that I only like watching winners?...then, why do I watch the Padres?...so, can't be that...

So, I had retired early last eve...so tired...and Boss had some show on...Housewives of somewhere...and there was this lady on...the most obnoxious one ever...screaming and throwing a tantrum...how can a guy get some sleep?...she then threw a towel at the face of another and stormed off...of course it was the ultimate witch, Tamra...does she get paid to act that way, or is that her natural way of being?...

Around the village here...the ComicCon people emerge from all over the area...we have some that find a way to stay in our building...a no no, that they get around, somehow...no short term leases...anyhoo...we shall mosey on down to the Gaslamp...find a couple of bar stools...have one or two cold ones...and watch the show...ALWAYS entertaining...

Tomorrow is opening day out at DelMar...went once for it...too many people, and too many long shots...will go another day, soon...

2 bucks late again...the Powerball was hit for a billion dollars...dang...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
