Aspartame


The Horse likes cola...likes the fizz...the CARBONATION!...likes the flavor...the Horse knows that too much sugar is not good for you...or me...so, the cola of choice for over 55 years...well, it started with TAB...right, you heard me...then, it turned into Diet Coke...shoot, Diet Pepsi, too...did not like the off brands...there were and still exist, others...RC...Safeway had one...and little did I know what the sweetening thing in it, was...it just wasn't sugar...

The latest is aspartame...put into the colas around 1981...which really is a dipeptide artificial sweetener...ah, what?...it's composed of 2 amino acids...aspartic acid and phenylalanine...wooah...200 times as potent as SUGAR!...no wonder I like it...it has been named other thangs...Nutrasweet, Equal, and Sugar Twin...

So...now there is more and more evidence...that extreme consumption can lead to cancer...headaches...seizures and depression...according to the FDA...an adult would have to drink 18 cans of aspartame ladened cola, to experience severe negative consequences...actually, the latest study out of France, has said that it isn't as bad as what some were trying to get out...

That aspartame is now in the lowest possible risk category (there are 4 levels) for cancer causing substances...but still...the Horse likes his Coke...and will adjust to Coke Zero...or Pepsi Zero...still has it, but just not as much...and this is on my list for today...just thought you oughta know...

The letter has come...time to serve your country...some dread it, some consider it an honor...read the guidelines and be there...Boss is one that proudly will serve...she thrives on this stuff...Jury Duty...we will miss her...

The Trib had one of it's writers give a review of Neil Young's performance over at the Shell...every person has an arse...and an opinion...what he heard and what I heard, well, suffice to say, we come from different camps...

I was watching the House grilling of the FBI guy, Christopher Wray...and the House dudes were the rats...the chair was Jordan (head rat)...the main antagonizer was Gaetz (trump lacky) and Chip Roy (chipper from Texas)...did they NOT KNOW that Wray is a republican, like themselves...and was appointed to the position by their leader of the cult, trump?...

Now some of you, may just call me old school...or, just old...you, indeed are heathens...but, if you are an XM listener...or Sirrus...try Willie's Roadhouse station...it is kinda cool...to hear that era of stuff...

Did you know...that the same dudes who carried out the end of the disco music...with a bonfire of the records in the middle of the White Sox stadium...Comiskey Park...were the same dudes who started satellite radio?...

It's a beautiful day, as I saw no KFam article in the 23 sou....wait, damn, I just one of them with another baby bump...

The more I listen to Chris Christie, the more I like him...so want to see him and the others on stage with donny...let 'em go...find a time, when trump's not in court...just saw the 1st one is in Milwaukee, August 23rd...

In this interim of no baseball...have gone over and watched the NBA Summer league...via, the pixels...these kids are playing hard...but, the 10 foul rule?...c'mon...shoot, 6 is too many...the Kansas dude, was making a splash...like his play...Gradey Dick...by the Raptors...has a shot...BTW, the league has endorsed an anti-flop rule...good...and of course, an overdue one...if a coach's challenge is successful, he gets another...

In baseball, I still don't know what the strike zone is...or where it is...seems to change by whomever is calling it...

As finished up out at Singing Hills yesterday...my thermom read 98*...the Boyz were dropping like flies...well, they were quitting...have to admit, I was way tired after...sore, and needed mucho agua...yet, played well and had mucho fun...

Name a word that follows the word pork...the answer was 'u-pine'....give me a name that starts with H...'Jose'...good answer...

And now, for some very odd reason, I am pulling for LeBron...they need one more guy...just one more quality player...now who could that be?...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
