American Made

The battle cry of so many, here in the USA...American Made...thing is...that may be a thing of the past...as, even our General Motor and Ford cars...are not only OWNED by others, but have many parts made overseas...like in China...so many major businesses are owned by stockholders...and the HIGH percentage of the greatest amount of stock owners, are people and business in countries elsewhere...than the United States of America...Ice Cream companies?...England has a desire for that...Ben and Jerry?...England...so many of the Hotel Companies are primarily owned by China...don't even query about your washing machine, your refer, your computer, your cell phone, your vacuum cleaner....almost ALL by, you guessed it, China...you think Tesla is diff?...ah, guess again...this car is dependent on many others...than the USA....my point, when you read on the label, American Made....is it really?...parts may be...or, the parts that make it up are not, but ASSEMBLED in the United States...ah, what a mess we have...the almighty dollar...is that even made here?...I digress...

One of my great concerns about leadership in the USA...now don't get me wrong about elders...ah, cuz, I fit right in here in that category...when is elder too elder?...Prez B, former whatever trump, and now...the leader of republicans party in the senate, Mitch McConnell, freezing up in a speech...2/3 are good men...still, age is a factor...I know I couldn't coach...to think that these dudes are still running, or trying to run the country...is way beyond moi...it is OUR, yours and mine...duty to find younger leaders...they are out there...we must find them...ah, certainly not the foo from Florida...others...the time is right...now...

Giving an essential player a DAY OFF, when there is a built in day off happening the NEXT DAY...makes no sense to me...the Friars must win all games...at least give them the chance, with their best guys on the field...very bad management...the doom of this team...

Now I am not Carnac the Magnificent...but the Grand Jury is arriving this am, at the Prettyman Courthouse...in DC...where the DOJ is a waiting...and, this definitely could be the day, that trump is issued indictment number 3 and the biggest one of them all...I know there are gads of lawyers out there, but many want nothing to do with the bloke...he needs any that will work pro bono....ha ha...

The gals ended up tied at 1...against the Netherlands...did I write yesterday, that New York was originally called New Netherlands, way back prior to the revolution?...a silly fact that is in this elder's system...anyhoo, the team is mad and unhappy with the tie...ah, both teams...an off sides was called, that would have given the US the win...off sides?...they have that in soccer...?...guess so...do they have holding, too?...

Colorado to the Big 12?...some say a done deal....they need to go to where they have a chance to win, 'they' say...try Division III...

This is the time of year, that the MLB teams have trouble controlling their pitches...like they end up heading directly toward the batter...tempers flare, as they should...and we are down right so close to base brawl numero uno...

The trip up north via Amtrak...so nice to not be driving thru LaLa Land...have you ever taken the train?...we go business class and it is quite nice...read, listen to music, eat, and drink a bit...oh yea, and I do Sudoku...to see the kids...and to look at housing...no golf for a week, and my groin will appreciate that...at least my bruising has gone down...

Not sure how the republicans will spin this...but, the economy grew at 2.4% in quarter 2...inflation is down 3%...and unemployment at a 50 year low...however, why do we raise the interest rates?...

Is there anything wrong with your wife being taller than you?...I think not...but, it does look weird, right?...is this some type of profiling?...tall lady prejudice...you think that Taylor Swift has to have tall mates, too?...maybe, this is just the opposite...a small man bias...the syndrome of syndromes...damaging the ego...

Boss Lady brought up something...like a bucket list item...that the Horse always wanted a 57 Chevy...yes...but, I am not a mechanic...far from it...but we do have an '07 VDub Convertible...and it is a beaut...my 'real mechanic' said that this engine (Injun) would last well over 250,000 miles...ah, was he talking the car or moi?...you know, I am happy with what I got...

Speaking bucket list...Europe...is it a possibility?...the Horse is not a good flier...flight pills needed...but, I would sure love to see England, France, and Italy...and I know Boss would love to see her homeland, Germany...perhaps, I can start a 'Go Fund Me' page...
