The Sporting Life



It was a crazy set of hours...that the Horse gazed at the pixels...3 games...oh no, the anti-sports readers say...aghast, that someone could waste so much time, doing just that...well now, what are you watching?...game shows?...the Kardashians?...the reality ones, that feature the 24 hour romances?...are you reading a book?...seems like nobody reads a book anymore...listen, kids...the Horse has passion for sports...

The 3...College WS baseball...Tennessee vs Clemson, in an OT thriller...went like 15 innings and the Vols won it...cool...the Ducks vs Vanderbilt...upset win for UO and I was a happy camper...seems like the Ducks don't have as quality pitching as the others...and in MLB...the Friars vs da Cubbies...a very deserved W, with Yu sharp, and Jr hit 2 dingers...all, a good nite of beisbol for this observer...

Over in the waters close to Taiwan, which used to be called Formosa, right?...a USA ship and a Chinese one, narrowly passed by...tension is at it's highest point there...we need to be very aware of what's going on...as China wants to take over that Island, in the worst way...we will defend it, and here we go...

DeSantis (DF) and trump have started their own war of words...ewww...this is good, and is important for the republicans to see...if they are...listen dudes, you don't have to watch FOX to witness the two blokes insult one another...these are your 2 main guys, right now...as I have told you all, it is way too early for the primaries...na na na, na na na...

NBA finals game 2 tonight...in the mile high city...Denver up one, goes against the Heat...our time, 5 pm...something tells me a sweep...unless injuries...don't ever never bet what I tell ya...

I was perusing the monthly calendar of ours...and see we have some concerts on the docket...next Sunday is the one and only, Diana Ross, over at the Rady Shell...then, a week later, on Father's Day, a night with Graham Nash, out at Humphrey's on the bay...coo...

Another gray morning here...should I say 'gloomy?'...June gloom...this is the day, that many of the streets are messed up due to the marathon...'Rock and Roll Marathon'...not my bag...high 60's for the next 10 days...and gloomy....booooo....

I know I have unzipped the topic before...but, being in the sunshine of Palm Springs unleashed a new look at it...a refreshing one...people and their tats...tattoos...they get 'em and then they gots to show them off...at our pool, one gal did so...she shouldn't...really...unbecoming...and walking the streets of PS, you would, er I would, ah, we would, see many proud owners of their tats...wearing wife beater T's...short shorts, to show 'em...got me thinking...again...for us elders, new to the biz...where on earth would we get one, to show them off?...certainly not on the central part of the bod...thus, it would either be on the neck or face...hmmm...so the Horse debated a horse on the right ear...as long as I kept my hairs short, the masses could gaze at it...you know, I don't know if I have ever seen one on the ear...so, it would be unique...BUT, would that signify if I was gay?...not that there is anything wrong with that...I am not...BUT, should it be on the left ear?...would hate to make the mistake...I'm gonna just think on this for awhile longer...can you keep it in the vault as to my intentions?...

Sudoku Monster Puzzle time...now THIS is a good use of 2 or 3 hours...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

O Yeah!

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter...
