THE Club



Morning, my good friends...and for all you papas out there, Happy Father's Day...I will speak on that in the latter part of my writings...but, I want to lead with a rumored happening in the great city of LA...LaLa Land to most of us...as we are watching the US Open in that city...at the very exclusive LA Country Club (LACC)...

Exclusive?...it is a passion for some...to be just that...for the very privileged people in the area...golf courses...perhaps, a tennis club...a yacht club...an Elks club?...you get my drift...for many years, people of color were banned...now, if you have enough scratch, you may get in...think maybe, just maybe, a den of republicans?...anyhoo, my point?...dress codes, of course...shoot, women weren't allowed too...for years...

This LACC, had it's uppity stance for sure...you know, on the border of Beverly Hills...who to let in and who to black ball...really, that is a term...the cost was prohibitive, $250-$300 grand, just to join in the fun...well now, one bloke they WOULD NOT ALLOW IN, was none other than a guy who had a house adjacent to the course...Hugh Hefner...you recall him?...the Playboy Founder...of course you do, but just not on this course...

So, he decided to get even with the leaders of the club...he built, a mini-zoo on his property...yup, right by the golf course...for all of my years, I have not heard of this...hilarious...just to bother the golfers...reminded me, in much smaller terms...when I was asked to join the Elks...my friend said that he didn't think I could handle the initiation...hmmm, he didn't tell me why...but, I was in much better shape than he...had to be cuz I was Injun...whatever...this club, I did not need in my life...

Back to the golf, regardless of the pomp...or poo...3 dudes in the hunt, in the final round...Rickey, Rory, and Wyndham Clark...and if Scheffler can ever figure out how to putt, he may steal the thang...BTW, they have ridiculous late tee times...c'mon brain trust...

Other...

We are trying to settle our differences with China...sent over Antony Blinken to help our cause...kind of gets me, as we use that country so much...why can't we get along with them, politically?...what ISN'T built there?...

I just took a break, and went on the side deck...marveled at how much this city (town?) has grown UPWARD!...so many tall buildings and condos...and still growing...just in the time we have moved here...some 17 years...

You recall the stop that donny made after his last indictment?...at a Cuban restaurant...well, the Cubans are now BOYCOTTING it...don't like his policies...and think the ownership sold out...

We skedaddled out to the Sycuan Casino last eve...do some gambling, have a cold one, and then mow some Chinese Food at the Pink Buddha...it was simply phenomenal...this is something we shall repeat...drove back, top down in the Beetle...cool...

The Friars actually played beisbol last night, in their win...a sac bunt by Jr...a sac fly by Soto, and that was all we needed to get the W...2-0...awesome pitching by Snell, too...

Try as I may, I can't figure out why people would be so against the gay community...what have they done to you?...how does how they live affect your life?...grow up...

Are you seeing all these pix and vids of bears walking in and climbing up houses?...are these real or AI?...geez, I am saying to stay aware...if true...

Tonight we go on out to Shelter Island and see Graham Nash...Uber it...we have a ritual...get there early, go to the bar...have a cold one or two, and some munchies...get a tee shirt...and settle into some mellow melodies of the master...

This being Father's Day...a shout out to mine and Bosses...both wonderful daddies...now, in heaven...and a Happy Father's Day, to my son, who is now a papa of two...geez, he is masterful at the art...we shall see the boy and his boys this next week...

And for all you republicans, who still read the Horse...'God save the Queen!, Man'

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
