Follow the Money




It sure seems like whenever we hear the word 'MERGE', it is one company swallowing up another...I didn't say monopoly did I?...usually, the key to it all, is cash...FOLLOW THE MONEY...ah, well, let's get into this...all speculation, mind you...the PGA and the LIV have agreed to merge...to be fair, it also merges with the DP World Tour...egads...the LIV angle is weird...they are funded by the Saudis...and they gave out big time money for guys to bolt from the PGA to play in their league...you all know this...the league plays 54 holes in lieu of 72...also, guys are part of teams...and the winners get huge bucks...far more than the PGA Tour...AND, they can wear shorts...

The first problem arose, that the money spent was from the Saudis...the remaining 9/11 folks found this abhorrent...so did the PGA Commissioner, Jay Monahan...who said so a number of times...then came lawsuits...from players who still wanted to play in the PGA, after signing with the LIV...litigation costs dough...lots of it...this was problem number 2...

And the Commish then boasted about guys staying put...problem 3...not leaving for extreme amounts of it...McIlroy, Thomas, Woods, Spieth, to name a few...they remained, and questioned those who left...the loyalty and all...it intrigued me, as the ones that left...were aging dudes, who had trouble competing with the young guns of the PGA Tour...there were exceptions, one being Brooks Koepka...but, he was ailing, and may never return to his greatness...I understood the dilemma...

Problem 4...the tours went on, in parallel...the only tangency, was that the LIV guys could play in the Majors...ah ha, this was a thorny issue...the idea, notion, that these bolted dudes, who made a mint already...could come back and seek more from this side...well, it was odd...as the Majors are governed differently than the regular PGA Tour...got it?...really, it was a mess...

No. 5...The 'Merge' happened without the players in the loop...in fact, they were shocked...as the info got out via social media...just like you and I get it...really...the details?...no one knows them but the leaders...Monahan had a players only meeting...that lasted 20 minutes...imagine that one...as he had another meeting...this, my good friends, is combustible...

Teams?...shorts?...54 holes?...no cut tourneys?...imagine the anger with Monahan...if I was Rory, I would be fuming...Tiger, too...and the 9/11 people?...exhausted with anger...

                       'For the good of the game?'...makes me wonder...

Moving on...

Another shooting...this time at a high school graduation...son and father killed...imagine...5 others wounded or hurt...details sketchy...Virginia...

The Friars looked abysmal last eve, losing to the M's...against a pitcher who has recently been whomped...he had his good stuff, I reckon...we ain't what we should be...

Tonight game 3 of the NBA finals in Miami...who ya got?...I have no clue and would not bet a penny on it...

Canadian wild fires blowing smoke east...NYC has what the west coast has to endure as the planet burns...

There are cats out there that don't like 'The View'...I do...this cat does...they have some great banter...BUT, someone pulled a fast one on the ladies...they had a gal from Vanderpump...LaLa somebody...who admitted the reason for her show, was to get on to TV...anyway they can...she did...15 minutes are up...

Polls...saw one that had this...if Michelle Obama was running for Prez, she would be down only 2 points to Prez B RIGHT NOW!...and, that RFK, Jr is gaining, too...interesting...

Got to admit, I keep waiting for BREAKING NEWS out of DC, and or Florida...

The San Diego County Fair kicks off today...it is huge...the one group playing there, which I kinda want to see...Alabama...yes, and this does get me in the mood for...the races...as once this over, HORSE RACING starts at Del Mar...I am so ready...

I like Chris Christie's swagger...can he win?...it's a long road...and a long shot...

My cryptocurrency amount is staggering mellow...at about $155...doesn't get much lower or higher...

Mellow Yellow...by the Sunshine Superman bloke...Donovan...Donovan Phillips Leach...a Scot...now resides in Ireland...born May 10, 1946...little known fact...he taught John Lennon a finger picking guitar style that Lennon used in 'Dear Prudence' and 'Happiness is a Warm Gun'...you know, Donovan's song I like a lot 'Wear Your Love Like Heaven'...under appreciated by the masses...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
