Day 7

The Hearst Castle...La Cuesta Encantada...’The Enchanted Hill’...oh my...the opulence that the rich could live in, prior to the WWII...and then more...built from 1919-1947...by William Randolph Hearst...this was our journeys end for this Cosmo trip...didn’t say that right, it was the tipping point...

We took one of the tours...the ride up is amazing...it is situated on top of a mountain...hill?…too high up for that...we were in the clouds...fog rolled in and out...narrated and we saw as much of the castle needed...amazing, and yet, gaudy at the same time...like, I could see trump living there, nowadays...same type of statues and all...well, before his incarceration...

Is it worth the trip?…yes...a glimpse of history of the very rich...of that era...if I hear ‘do not touch’ ever again, that would be too soon...

We are now in Pismo Beach...our fav...will say, Morro Bay, is equal...BTW, right next to us, another Class B, with a pop up...that has a couple with 2 kids...my guess the pop up is essential...and as usual, people always come over to see the insides of Cosmo...

It’s official now...trump says the files that said were classified in his own voice on tape, were indeed not classified...I believe him...he would never lie...

We are solidifying our worst team moniker in the NL...an embarrassing loss to Pitt...another debacle today...

Say it isn’t so , Donny...he found a lawyer that is suing E.Jean Carroll for ‘defamation of character!’ for him...what?…he is, well, you can finish that...

And this...who do you think is the biggest hero on screen?…like flicks...movies...of course, depends on the time period...mine?…the first 007....Sean Connery...THE James Bond...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
