The Elusive Butterfly



'You might wake up one mornin', to the sound of something moving past your window in the wind'....ah, yes, kids...the opening lyrics to the fab song of '65...you can't believe this, but I was just awakened to the melody...in me brain...have not heard it for years...so odd...weird...almost eerie...just popped up...and lead me to write about it...go figure...it is what I do, I reckon...'The Elusive Butterfly' by Bob Lind...as far as I can recall, his only real hit...it has such a good time feel to it...kind of meanders about, much like a path of a butterfly...

'65...hmmm, there have been peops who have been meeting for mini-reunions of the graduating class of mine...high school...of course, me being here and they have been doing so in Orygun...a long shot for me...we had 915 or so, in the class...huge...anyhoo, my point is that we are all elders...of sorts...mid 70's and well, alive...watching the PBS show of ancestry...so many people died prior to that age...and the saying 'they lived a good long life'...egads, what does that mean?...my life is fulfilled and over?...c'mon now, there is a lot of living to do...

It was so cool to see the Friars have a big inning, in the 9th!...been awhile, as they put up a 5 spot...some clutch hitting...finally...the key is, to do it again...of course, you got to do it once, to do it twice...and then, thrice...always optimistic I am...

So many times, I have told you all, that trump will eventually turn on you...regardless of how patronizing you have been...his former press secretary is now in the 'turned on' column...Kaleigh McAnnany...reported on his fav, FOX, that donny was up 25 points agains DF...and trump called her 'milktoast'...his way of saying she got the points wrong...that's nothing compared to what all of my amigos call him...

Back to the Friars...the pixels channel that was showing them...has gone kaput...in mid season, no less...the company carries (carried!) other teams, as well...TODAY!...it is said that MLB will take over the broadcast...what does that mean?...where are the games to be aired?...a lot of confusion going on...stay tuned, if you can...

Now this is something...the star, Al Pacino, is expecting a child with his 29 yr old gal pal...Noor Alflallah...Al is 83...OK...let's see when the kid is 15, he may be 98...right...

Here at the home, we rearranged our boudoir...and made room. for some pix on the wall...we were only missing Curly, as Larry and Moe had a bodacious time trying to do so...measuring, sweating, cursing, and then...voila!...

There is this show on, that goes about the USA...'Taste the Nation' with Padma Lakshmi...and it features food from different areas...one such, highlighted an area in South Carolina...famous for Gullah Rice...named after the people in there...the Gullah People...who were slaves from Africa...and developed the land and then, OWN it...over time...it is a great story and for all of you DeSantis followers, you should be ashamed...WOKE is alive and well...yet, the schools don't want to preserve the history...

The Horse has on his agenda about voting 'WHITE ONLY' in the near future...it will be a 'can't miss' blog...if interested, please contact me...as I compile the narration...

Man, such sorrow...you do know that Prez Carter is in hospice...now, the news is, that is wife, Rosalyn, has dementia...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
