Maybe I'm Amazed




Bank failures...with all the cash flowing about this country...how in the heck can a BANK go under?...talk about mismanagement...must be it...of course, we don't know...used to be, that's where the average bloke would put his or her money in...to 'grow'...nobody does that anymore...the $ goes into stocks...I guess...so, the avg every day BANK must do a whole lot of loaning...right?...houses, businesses, and ?...

So, the Horse investigated...there are 3 major ways BANKS make money...thus, survive...1.  Interest income  2.  Capital markets income. 3.  Fee-based income....ah, yes...they take your money and loan it out...housing for you and I...who can't afford to buy a home with cash...it seems simple, but gets real complicated...as the FED regulates the interest rate...which is the problem...rising interest rates...

Anyhoo, the latest BANK to have trouble is First Republic...and the country gets afraid of this...no kidding...so, along to the rescue is my BANK, JPMorgan Chase...that buys up their, well, everything...and Chase just gets bigger...and bigger...cuz they can...how do say monopoly?...it's just another thing we, the average person, knows very little about...and TRUST that those in the biz, do...

NBA...man, I have no idea how this goes...the Kings looked so solid and figured they would bee bop and buzz the Warriors at home...not so fast, Horse...Curry goes off for 50, and GS wins...to move on to face them Lakers...dang, now I have to root root root for someone...hate the Lake Show...

The Friars swept the Gigantes in Mexico City...and finally return home, really home, to take on the Redlegs...have we finally hit stride?...

'Maybe I'm Amazed'...was the most anticipated song that was awaiting all us Beatle fans...Paul McCartney...it was great...unfortunately, the album was not too good...but the lead?...a classic...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
