Surf City



Betcha by golly wow...you think the title today was by them Beach Boys...not so, you youngins...it is by Jan and Dean...'Surf City'...as we were on the Kramerica Tour we stopped at 2 of the top 10 beaches in the USA...Mission Beach and La Jolla...surprisingly, there were mountains of sand to ward off the high tides...we have not seen that much down here...nobody surfing, but a lonely bloke, fishing...not exactly knowing what his angle was...as we continue to deal with the cold cold weather down in SoCal...easily the worst it has been since we moved to the city (town?)...17 + years now, I think...

The foo tucker carlson...I am guessing that he is on a publicity stunt in his outlandish rant about the Coup...how can one guy think so profoundly idiotic?...even his base has their collective heads shaking...subsequently, the leaks of his disdain for trump...the guy must be looking for some type of notoriety...well, he has got it...and makes his name even more so, the foo...

The Players...the Island Green...the 5th major?...like it, almost...and the drama of the single shot to that par 3...nerve wracking, even for the pros...starts up this am...'better than most'...

Survivor...the show that is like an Energizer Bunny...keeps going and going...Timex...keeps on a ticking...Jeff Probst has a gold mine...with such a simple premise that continues to entertain...albeit with outstanding producing and scenery...'bring me your torch, the tribe has spoken'...poof...'time for you to go...'...

Headlines today, are that Sen Mitch McConnell has taken a fall at his hotel, and is now hospitalized...must have been a doozy...age may be a factor...latest info out was that he suffered a concussion, believe me, I know what he is going thru, as when Boss pushed me into the car in Cabo (allegedly), I concussed a lot...still do...

Legendary hoops coach, the man with the 2-3 zone...Jim Boeheim, 47 years at Syracuse...is finally hanging up his whistle...

This just hit the airwaves...where one should NOT travel to Mexico...for spring break, er anything...be careful, kids...


Ah ha, all the parts are here for the perfect coffee...the grinder, the maker, the whole beans...TODAY, I clean them all up and start the consummate brew...1st up will be some beans from Brooklyn...yup, you read that right...

It's a given, the Boss detests the Bachelor Show...but your FOX has come up with a Country Dude, 4 of 'em...and they pick out of a bevy of beauties...then take the ladies back to their cowboy home...to seek out the new lady of their life...right...the gals can choose not to run...yes, kids, this aired last nite, in honor of National Women's Day...the only thing missing, is the foo tucker carlson, doing the narrating...they have the gal from the group Sugarland, Jennifer Nettles...and of course, Boss likes the show...go figure...

Well, I talked about the Boss...now it's the Horse's turn...the college guys league playoffs are all this week...now is the time I enjoy them...one and done...culminates this Sunday, with the Big Dance pix and slots...truly, this season is a crap shoot...my luke warm favs?...'Bama, Virginia, the Zags, and my real dark horse...who may not even get in, the Tar Heels...

Say this isn't so...but, the elder star of the Seattle Soopersonics...Shawn Kemp, was arrested for a drive by shooting...in Tacoma, I think...the pix are kinda sketchy, but does look like what he was wearing...if true, horrific...

In closing, the talk about the room...was where the nowadays people get their news...which I have gotten into before on my blog...from the PEW Research Center...86% of Americans get their news from their smartphone, computer, or tablet...all web net, kids...the newspaper is almost dead...the TV is a far away 2nd source...imagine those, who only get their info from FOX...which gets me to this...how many in % don't read ANYTHING?....and that is why I try to get out as much as I can....

Did you know, that there really is a Surf City?...town, er city, well, one of them...in North Carolina...there you go, now you know...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
