Mother Nature Rules


Morning all!  As we weathered a brutal drive from Diego to Indio...the rains were not our friends, people...the semis splashing like we were traversing in the great PNW...not until we saw the weather vanes  whirling about, did the water from the sky, cease...man, that sounds like it was written for an English class...Mother Nature  Rules!...if that wasn’t enough, the winds...my Gawd, the winds!...doesn’t she know we are in SoCal?....I think Snooki May have dated her in his way younger days...perhaps he can reconnect, and stop the insanity...

It’s worth the hazards, tho...we laid out, hit the hot tub, and relaxed in the lazy river...even tho the skies were spotty...being so greatful for our hosts, the Gahr’s...grateful...then, they COOKED for us...we ARE heathens...


Back in SD, the rains persist...so opening day for the Friars, has been delayed til 6:40...when it WILL be dry...GO PADRES!

Let’s just say this...SDSU has yet to play their best...and are in the Final 4, anyhoo...maybe, just maybe...will tell ya, up to now, UConn has been the superior team of the four left...

Diego has never been so wild about town...and to couple, the Mayor Gloria, is moving the homeless out!...win win win...

Banks...boo...we got a service fee...unannounced...just happened to catch it when I did the bills...we had to go ‘in’ to rectify their error....found out we could switch to a better checking plan...BUT, only the Branch Mgr could change it?...turns out, he wanted to get more of our cash...investments...bloody scam...not sure what to think...

This am the news had 2 military copters crashing into one another in Kentucky...’several’ casualties....which reminds me...we stopped at a rest area in the drive yesterday...stood in line behind all the Army...they were from North Carolina...?...what?…why here?…Breaking…9 dead from the Black Hawk crash!

One more...the school that had the murders...the report is the teachers did what they were trained to do...still, lost 6...still, what more needs to happen, Congressional Republicans....?...

Where and when will number 131 mass murder occur?...

Today, we swim?…we go to the PGA Super Store...we dine in Palm Springs...and go to their infamous Street Fair...sound groovy?…

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
