The Love Month



Nobody wrote about 'LOVE" better than Burt Bacharach...nobody...as I told you yesterday, he had died at the age of 94...leaving a legacy of countless songs, many about 'LOVE'...it's really hard to pick one out, but from my era 'Close to You', sung by the Carpenters...was as legendary as they come...wonder how many weddings used this tune as part of the ceremony?...he shall be missed for sure...especially in this month of 'LOVE'...

So many trades this year in the NBA, as the deadline for 'em passed yesterday...the reason?...so many teams with a shot at the playoffs...outside of KD going to the Suns, the gaggle of them are for 2nd unit helpings...interesting that some franchises have been storing up 2nd round picks...how many of these guys actually make it in the bigs?...'prospects' they call them in beisbol...oh yea, I told you LeBron would sit vs the Bucks...which he did, and they lost again...smile...

As Cosmo takes on an extended trip, the rule is...that I will write when I can...it is a 15 day fact finding jaunt...bear with the Horse...er, Boss with the Horse....

The numbers that have been announced for the earthquake...now over 22,000!...deaths...a tragedy like no other...can't imagine the sorrow...maybe I can...

Former VP Pence got a subpoena to testify in front of the Coup Committee...will he show?...will he testify?...will he plead the 5th?...think he will get a call from you know who?...

I listen to the cats on the pixels tell us how far their pro hits a 7 iron...220 yds...!...how far do you?...mine is the 150 yd mark...I hit a 3 wood (metal) 220 yds....talent'...sure...age?...sure...shaft?...sure...

The weekend...shall be filled with not only pundits, ah, experts giving their rationale for whom to choose as the winner of the Soooper Bowl, but the daily shows on the tele will do it, too...since many of the bloody dailies are back east, Philly will get most of the pump...fuggit about it, kids...take the Kansas City 'Chiefs' as your pick...35-32...nail-biter...never ever bet on the NFL...

For all of you coaches of the hoop game...please please please...do not follow the NBA new code of dress...wear nice stuff...this jogging attire for the coaches is shockingly inappropriate...as one Judge Luukinen reminded me, where is your tie?...we are in a court room, of sorts...yup, I agree...at least wear mock turtles, and a jacket...c'mon...jogging suits?...NO!...

You KNOW my coffee dilemma...the amount of K Cups I use for the Keurig is staggering...I fill my cup drawer, and a week later, it is needed again...$30-$40 a week, I reckon...is there a better way?...I am forever searching...

This is gonna boggle your brain...perhaps more than normal...do you remember Dorothy Kilgallen?...east coast syndicated writer back when...got intrigued with the JFK assassination...and was mysteriously found dead...as the age of 52...poisoned...just after covering the Jack Ruby trial...he who killed Oswald...

Where is Dr Oz?...back in NY?...or Herschel?...back in Texas?...

Back to the NBA...if you can not shoot the 3 ball, you are trade bait forever...from any position...hence Westbrook is always on the move...and any old time center...

Alrighty then...some grub...then finish loading up the Lexus...on the way out to Cosmo...he is awaiting...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
