American Graffiti

Sometimes you just have to take a step back and go man...has it been this long?...yesterday's passing of one of the stars of the epic flick 'American Graffiti'...THE movie that best depicted the 60's...Cindy Williams, at the age of 75...she, along with Ron Howard were spot on, dealing with the final night...as he was going off to college...and the inevitable break up...you MUST find it and give it a look...again...

She went on to star on the TV show 'Laverne and Shirley'...probably more renown for that role...but still...I guess I am looking at this a bit selfishly, as she was my age...just can't believe it...the Horse seems so young...at least in me mind...

Did see some of the west coast hoops last eve...the Warriors and then PDX...both wins, that kind of resemble basketball...the bloody 3 point shot has absolutely ruined the game I know...yes, kids, I am redundant...I have said that repeatedly...

My office chair...the gas powered part gave it up...tried to revive it...and we went the other way...got a new one...chair...leather beauty that is a Serta...you know, the bed company...it is a dream to sit in...never had such a nice seat...party for me arse...

Stetson (who would name their newborn that?) Bennett...the star QB from the Natty champs Georgia...got arrested for public intoxication in Dallas, Texas...come on down to the Gaslamp, and he'd fit right in...no arrests...gosh, he musta been way outta of it, right?...

Yup, the 49ers lost...but, the effort to get to that semis was extraordinary...using a 3rd string QB, that got hurt on their first O series...wouldn't Rodgers or Brady be a great fit for them next season?...the problem is their cap space...$$$...

I keep mentioning the absurd attitudes of Pat Reed and Lefty...but, the comparison to donny and Geo Santos, as the worst liars, is way similar...who is the worst?...close, very close...

There is a Pro Bowl in the NFL...a flag football game...c'mon...give us all a break...have a golf scramble, that would be more fun to watch...

The average length of a marriage is reportedly 8 years...how is yours?...we are on number 49...see above, and wowser...really...

Back to the NFL...they are always tweaking the rules...I like the idea of adjusting the penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct...some should be 5, not 15 yards...right?...

There have been some violent incidents around the Marina, where we reside...homeless violent attacks on passerby's...as I have said prior, there needs to be Cops on the street...Marina + Gaslamp...Chief, are you reading me?...

Even if you don't watch the flick...listen to the soundtrack of 'American Graffiti'...the best...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
