Boink!


Or is that 'Doink?'...so many times, a football match is decided by the kicker who plays 0 minutes in the game...well, other than the times he comes out to kick the rock...as far as blocking, tackling, catching, running, or throwing the 'pigskin', nope...it is the nature of this sport...a field goal...a punt...an xtra point...these dudes are special...so outta character from the rest of the squad...does he even run the wind sprints at practice?...

The Holiday Bowl in SD...at the beisbol park, as I told you yesterday...UO vs UNC...gosh, the festivities beforehand were great...the bands, the parachutists, the Natty Anthem singer...all first class...the seats we had were awesome...lower level...and much to my surprise, the Boss was digging it all...the mass of Duck fans...roughly 80%, I guess...and as per usual, I saw nobody I knew...weird and wack...not sure if it was a sellout, but almost...

The game...both good teams...the Tar Heels were really good on D, terrific one on one tacklers...our QB Nix, still not 100% moving...made for a good chess match, as their QB Maye, is a dandy, and...can run!...we have a new OC, as our other has moved on to be the HC at ASU...so, there were moments of head scratching...half time, both teams altered their D, and it was purnt near a punt show...there after...

Of course, just like every Friar game I take the Boss to, we will leave early...walk home and watch the end on the tele...this we did again...back in time to watch the 4th Q...kinda funny, as most of the game I was watching the big screen at the stadium...anyhoo, Nix must have been calling his own plays in the final stanza...as the team opened up...and tied the bloody thang up with 19 seconds to go...

Then BOINK (or is that DOINK?...the Duck kicker pull hooked his chip shot...(golf lingo)...and dang if it didn't hit the upright...made a terrific sound....BOINK (DOINK?)...and went thru, just counts the same as if it were thru the middle of the goal posts...then UO withstood some last second heroic shots by UNC...the DUCKS WIN!...

Whew, that took a lot of writing to get thru that...

Are you following the Covid outbreak in China?...so many have not been vaccinated and they are now in epidemic stages...you want a wall?...it is going up around that country...especially if they try to fly out...

Dang sure it's not Southwest Air, as they are still not flying much, if at all...stranded people everywhere...we are in deep debate about our Cabo trip...

This Santos character, what part of anything he has said...or in his past...are true?...seemingly nuttin...wonder where he got his idea for this?...hmmm, maybe from a bloke in Florida?...

Luka Doncic...star hoopster of the Dallas Mavs...is a dominating player right now...BUT, he does it all in slow motion...amazing, as from the tele screen, he doesn't appear to be all that...his size, must be more than the screen portrays...double him up, and then...well, that would be coaching, and is NOT allowed in the NBA...

FOX (see I can go there) is about to run a show that features 'stars' going thru a boot camp type of production...and the combatants look like they are going thru Hell in their teaser...this I will watch...as long as it's not moi...doing those thangs...

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ...
