14 Days to Go

But who's counting?...if you are an online shopper, like the Horse...be so cautious as to when your item is to be shipped
...YOU should be safe for a few days more...just the longer YOU wait, the less time the package will be under the tree...that is, if YOU have one...Boss already opened hers...unaware she cried...think I am gonna get her another?...c'mon...

We have, now had, these LUV vouchers from Southwest Air...that had to be used before the end of January of next month...or we lose their value...some $600 smackers, apiece...Vegas was out, as it is too cold...likewise a jaunt up to the rain belt...Nashville?...too late for Xmas, and we wanted warmer weather...Maui?...naw...so, me brilliant mind settled on Cabo...and that's the solution...4 days and the LUV is gone...ha ha...it works as Boss's birthday gift and her EXTRA Xmas one...you heathens might think, that 'YOU are going, too'...only as a servant to me lord...

The Army/Navy game was a beut...now you throw happy Xbox dudes, would not think so...as there were very few passes thrown...but, the hitting, was outrageous...went OT, and the Cadets won on a FG...here is a thang that I caught...for the OT toss of the coin, the visitor had no choice...as the Ref's coin had Navy on one side, and Army on the other...rather than ask, heads or tails, to the visitor, he just tossed the coin up...is this a rule change?...

If the same idea was needed in a politician's race...if the Repubs got the call, it would be so...if it landed on the Demos side, the Repubs would ask for a challenge...in court...right Fonny and Kari?...

The party at the home...turned out to be terrific food...the highlight was the tri-tip....not sure how they cooked it, but it was fork tender....need the recipe...there were horsdourves...(SP)...and many of us thought that THOSE were it...the food...ha ha...had a band...had loads of wine and champagne...lucky we had decent weather...all and all, well done, committee...ah, yes, a bit past 9, the Boss and I retired for the evening...we are old, you know...maybe it was 8...my sight is not what it used to be...

Caleb Williams (Oklahoma, USC) won the Heisman Trophy...as the most popular collegiate football player in the land...he is the Trojan's 3rd winner...and also, the new coach, Lincoln Riley's 3rd personal one...he had 2 at Oklahoma...the other 3 top candidates are all the QB's of the teams still in the Natties...of course, like most awards...they rarely please all...BTW, the namesake of the trophy, this Heisman dude...was a coach way back when...and ran it up on a patsy by 100 points...yup, in football...might as well call it the Hayes Trophy, after the immortal Ohio St HC, who only punched an opponent's player...the coach?...Woody Hayes...makes as much sense...

Reminds me of back when...I was coaching...and a bloke ran it up on me and my team...I was so pissed and vowed to do the same to this jackass, given the chance...just so happens, the next season the exact opportunity arose...couldn't do it, to his players...to him, yes...to the guys, no...I let it go...I know I was better for it, and he, is still a jackass...

As we approach Christmas...the concept of going to church comes back up...the numbers have dwindled that do so...look at this, in '21, the people who attend church in America is 22%!...that is regularly...which begs the Q, have you ever gone to a church, that politics comes from the alter?...

The match...the 7th of these special thangers...Spieth and Thomas beat Woods and McIlroy...3 and 2...man, Tiger can barely walk...there was one joke that came out...not sure by whom...as Tiger was about to hit a birdie try, 'remember, Tiger gets a stroke here'...maybe Charles...very telling...

I would say, just rough numbers here...that looking out my windows...that there are far fewer trees up this season....Christmas Trees...to put into perspective, 22% of the condos have 'em up...significance?...

There was no one better at interviewing than Johnny Carson...no one...he was doing so with George Burns, when Geo was 93...on Johnny's Tonight Show...George was smoking a cigar, back when one could do that on air...Johnny asked what number is that for you?..."10 or 11...I smoke 15-20 a day"...Johnny asked then what does your doctor say about that?..."my doctor is dead"....

'Baby it's cold outside'...is one of the very best duet songs of all time...so many have done it...would not be fair to single any 2 out...but, really, it is cold outside...here in SoCal...where is the rain?...who'll stop the rain?...

This is us, as we portray up for the big, extravagant party at the home...
