Black Friday

Tis the season...the day after...this is the start of the sales 'you want to get'...get in your rigs and get on down to, ah, where?...the sites, are now...within your fingertips, not by the aide of your vehicle...you search the web net...the trying on bit, is a forever gone...to hold the item in your hands, and see if it is what the ad says...is gone...we have a NEW version of Black Friday...yes, gone are the enticements of the donuts and coffee at 5 am...perhaps, I shouldn't say they are all gone...some businesses still do it...but, the rush is no longer there...the masses breaking down the door...stomping and pushing on one another...I guess it was a game, for some...by the time I got there, the loss leaders were all gone...on the end, it is the idear of gift giving, right?...not all bad...

How was your turkey day?...we spent a few hours early on...and put up our Christmas decorations, and TREE!...went up like a charm...a hint for all of youse in the Horse World...it is all about the taking down of your stuff...how you organize it...so, 11 months later, when you do it all over again...it's just one two three...it was so easy...purty, I tell ya...but, I am a sucker for the season...then, picked up the elder brother...and had a sorta feast at Ruth's Chris, with our closest 500 people...a repeater?...nope...then was the futbol...gots to see parts of all 3 NFL games...just has to be special for those players and coaches...as all their peers are watching 'em...time to show what they got...JCC who won...

SI published a pix...an eerie one...of the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones...with a bunch of fellow youngins (high school or college ages)...harassing some black kids in '56 or '57...he was back a bit, and has said that 'he was there just to see what was happening'...OK...maybe...Arkansas...find it and judge for yourself...

I am on an island on this...is it better to get some easy wins to start your season, or bang your head against some quality opponents?...now, I am not talking the polls and all of that...just for the jiving of your team...confidence...togetherness...

Had people talk about and foster queries about my roots section, in yesterday's blog...really appreciate the comments and advice...for moi, it is not an easy thing...it's not like we have family still living back there...as we, my bros and sis, are scattered all about...but, not on the parent's original sites...

On the other hand...the series 'White Lotus' is set in Cyprus....which makes quite a journey, a desire...not sure if I have enough flight pills, but I sure would like to go there for a week...

Sadly, this is our first Christmas for 17 years without Sammi...still tears our hearts out...man...we will never get another one...the best was with us...but I KNOW, she is in doggie heaven...

Did you see the battle that the Beavers gave Duke?...lost by 3, and that may be a good sign for them, or a bad sign for the newly coached Blue devils...guy's hoops, kids...BTW, SDSU lost 2 in Maui, to highly ranked opponents...see above...and played well...

Time to get ready for the links...went into the archives and am going to use the hybrid...as often as I can...to see if that may help....we hackers have weird thoughts...
