Game Day



Alas, it is here...college football's finest...day...opening day...for the masses...gone is the worry of the Covid...apparently...as huge crowds gather...already seen in the early games thus far...it adds excitement to the peoples...gone is the chaotic political crap...at least for an afternoon...it's just fun times...win or lose...ah, more fun to win...duh...still, the anticipation is what it is all about...

The Ducks in Atlanta to face the always ominous Bulldogs of Georgia...16 1/2 points favoring the latter...hmmm, did you know that last year's team, had 15 players drafted into the NFL?...amazing talent...THUS, they have to reload...we have a new head coach...new system...who knows?...

GO DUCKS!

Just as stirring, is the opening of the new stadium where Qualcomm used to be...in Mission Valley...it is called Snapdragon Stadium...totally new from the ground up...seats 35,000...as the SDSU Aztecs host Arizona...the locals have a great record over the PAC 12 intruders...makes no diff who...the problem?...it is so hot and humid here...not normal...

Some others worth noting...Utah at Florida...Utah St at Alabama...Notre Dame at Ohio St...Boise St at Oregon St...eye openers...

How about them Friars!...hit some prodigious home runs, 3 of 'em...all with men on...Manny, Drury, and Profar had the dingers...and Yu was marvelous...as the pesky Padres won game 1, seven to one...back at it, this eve in LaLa Land...keeping me fingers crossed...

I have not watched as much tennis than I did yesterday...the magic of seeing Serena play...she isn't what she once was...ah, who is?...but it was high drama...as she was ousted from the T...as a former tennis player, that I am...it is a hard game...to be frank, cuz I turned this around to be about me...I was turrible...

We had date nite...traversed to Roy's...on the bay...man...I am not lying about this...or kidding...it was bodacious!...Boss had the local halibut, macadamia nut crusted...the Horse had their special rib eye ( an indicator, their last one!)...the best I have EVER had...no lie...to top it off, our waitress treated us to a special dessert...the thang that has gooey chocolate in the middle, topped with vanilla ice cream...for you ornery type, treat 'em nice...and tip well...


Mississippi...what on earth is going on there?...water problems...now a bloke, stole a plane...then is threatening to crash it into a local Walmart...I dunno, kids...bad things happen in 3's...what's next?...

Listen people, to what I say...not all Repubs are MAGA forevers...far from it...in fact, I sense most of 'em...

Does this bewilder you as much as it does the FBI?...48 empty folders that say 'classified', that were found empty...at the trump Mara-Lago site...the plot thickens...still coming up empty, is Mark Meadows...

Getting a bit lighter...Brit's kids are complaining, well, at least one of them...that mommy liked you best....wait a minute, dude...that was Tommy Smother's line...to Dickie...

This WAS the day that we were going to the Orygun St Fair...and see them Beach Boys....dang...and see our friends...so disappointing...

Game Day...the ESPN show done at one of the college campuses...used to be cool...USED TO BE...the Horse is tired of it...it is now officially, off my circuit...

LIV Tour (Norman's) is playing somewhere...JCC...count your money, blokes...in your shorts...where did that $ come from?...Saudi Arabia?...no thanks...no matter how much...serious...

Am watching so many of these college football games...many of the players are transfers from somewhere...so much for commitment...these guys just wanta play...is this good?...you know, I get it...the coaches don't stay, why should you?...

'Summer time and the living is easy...'...maybe...

It won't be long...before newspapers will be a thing of the past...the printed ones on paper...they will try to survive via the web net...reporters, where art thou?....what will happen?...to moi, this is a step in the wrong direction...

That airplane is still in the skies of Mississippi...still threatening...think that he may be shot from the sky?...talked down?...????...

I wonder what would happen if all the golf sticks returned to wood?...wood drivers...I mean...would these flat bellies hit 'em 300 yds?...doubt it...try it, Norman, nobody cares about what your league does anyway...maybe they would, er wood...

Always wanted a vintage car...at this rate my two, an '04 Lexus and an '07 VW, will be...I have always lusted for a '57 candy apple red Chevy...not gonna happen...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
