9/11/01

For those who rank these horrific things...9/11 will be, or is, one of the happenings that WE will always remember...where we were, what we were doing, and then, what to do afterward...right?...equal to when the stock market crashed, JFK was shot, MLK was shot, RFK was shot, Pearl Harbor was bombed...events that seemingly changed the USA...so many queries...how could this happen?...

We had just left off our son at college in Claremont, Cali...were staying in our condo in Sunriver, Oregon...woke up to a drama that seemed unreal...like it wasn't happening...the takeover of passenger planes, with the idea of destroying our country...they used the ones that had the most fuel...just a week earlier, we flew back west from New York...in one similar of those such used...top it off, we canceled our annual flight to Maui for our anniversary...we all just stayed home...and wondered, 'what just happened?'...

Complacency was now gone...and this country awoke with more fervor than it had shown, since WWII...

Moving on...

How about those college games yesterday!...the 'Bama/Texas game was a beaut...as the Tide found a way to win...thought so...who had Marshall beating the Irish AT ND?...and Nebraska losing again...another home loss...HC Frost is toast...the Ducks rebounded, and how...with at 10 touchdown romp...the Bevos won in a donny brook over Fresno...USC started strong and then held on...Kentucky beat Florida...in an upset in me mind...and the biggee from the Pac 12...the Cougs of WSU went into Wisconsin and WON!...lots of parity, kids...

The Bums had a free for all last nite in Petco...game 3 today for the series...we need it bad...er, is that badly?...

My FF team is ready...thing is, I probably won't see much of the games...well, the Red Zone...as we are going to get on out to the hosses...final day for DelMar...gots some tix to cash and it is what I do...

Call this a hunch...and I may be way way out there...but Tom Brady, alias Tom Terrific, is having marital problems...so it is being reported...he just may have football probs, too...as his OLine is not what it has been...he could get beat up...and RETIRE mid-season...to save his body and home life...

Gonna end today with a sad thing...sorry...but, we lost our dog, Sammi, yesterday...too much pain (for all of us) and it was time...17 years of life is amazing for anyone, let alone a pet...she was awesome and will be so missed...daily....we love her...tears of sorrow and joy...peace...
