Lightning


I have no greater fear than...LIGHTNING!...marvel at it's beauty, and yet, must be seen from afar...it appeared that we were going to witness some of that yesterday...but, it passed us by on the east...from this high rise, we do have a great viewing spot...I have actually ran off golf courses as it has approached...much to the chagrin of whomever is in my group...I bring this up, as the season of LIGHTNING is upon us...and a tragedy in DC...as a couple (74 & 75 yrs of age), tried to weather out the storm, across from the White House...UNDER A TREE!...and were killed by a bolt...it's like fans on the golf course, doing the same...a no no...get outta there...in a car, somewhere...but NOT under a tree...

Brittney Griner did get 9 years of prison for her 'crime'...thus the 'trial' is over...and now, the trading season is upon her...fingers crossed that it can be done...along with the teacher held in Russia, too...

We opted out of the horse races yesterday, and did the swim thang in lieu...next week for them hosses...too good of cocooning in our waters, here...couldn't pass it up...

I call this the month of The Beach Boys...as we see 'em tomorrow and then less than a month later in Orygun...we are groupies...has to be in the high teens that we have gone to their concerts...and sing along with Mike and the boys...love it...

A natural let down for the Friars, as the entire state of Colorado did get the final game of that series...not that the Pads didn't bang the gong...just right at people, and there was this marvelous rob of a HR in LF...and now, what many are interested in...another 3 spot with the Bums in LaLa Land...batten down the hatches...

Man...another passing of one of my colleagues...this is happening much too frequently...Stan Kerzel...worked together at Parrish and North...terrific friend and just a fiery competitor...his umpiring was legendary...the OSU's best...

Here at the home, we have but 2 more days to get our pix in for the highly heralded picture contest...I think I have one more entry to submit...of course, I am blackballed...and thus, this is just Daffy Duck stuff...they don't even acknowledge that I have entered any...ha ha...the Rodney Dangerfield of the Pinnacle am I...

Yes, my biggest fear is LIGHTNING!...2nd most, is that donny get's the Republican nod...that is, if he is not in prison...

Finally, we are so close to listing our property...here...a call to be made today...if the price is right, we will...the end product is to move closer to our son and the grandkid (s, very very soon)...we will be giving up selfish stuff, to be available for them...at least, that's the plan...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
