Legends or Legendary?




Seemingly, this past few years...we have lost many people...too many, thanks to the bloody Covid...thanks, may be the wrong adjective...each and every life is special...and what is left, are the memories of them...I am not telling you anything new...but, the passing of the legendary announcer, Vin Scully...was yet another tough death to absorb...was he a legend or legendary?...is there a difference?...

One of my biggest complaints about people in general...is that we don't honor many...shoot, it may be a relative...whomever...while they are still living...the 'festivities' are done after they are gone...yes, sometimes, it is impossible to do...sudden stuff...but, let's do our best to pay tribute, show extreme esteem, while they are still in the here and now...I guess one could call this a pet peeve...

This will rile up you righters...but, the idea that VP Kamala Harris, went TO TAIWAN, was a tremendous show of solidarity with them and the USA...we depend on them and they so, on us...saw one headline that China was up in arms over this...ha ha...so what?...they are up in arms over everything we do...as long as we buy and sell goods and services to them, they are all talk...one more for you conservatives...why on earth are you always putting VP Harris down?...you call her names, and insinuate she is not smart...enough, I guess...WTH, and you keep trotting out orange?...the dumbest leader in the history of the country...get a life...

EGADS, the Horse was in error!...so sorry, kids...it was Speaker Pelosi who made the jaunt!...not VP Harris...who did meet with the VP of Taiwan recently in Honduras...my bad...the reasoning is still solid...but, the passion and productivity would not be the same as a Harris visit...thx to the Snooki for pointing out my glaring error...and the reliability and validity of the Horse's production is now in question...I shall do better...you can get your refund for this at...well, you can't...

Life!...how about the Friars GM AJ Preller!...I have wondered out loud about him in the past...no longer...he is my present day manipulator of the year...perhaps, decade...securing the super star Soto, AND 1B Bell...throw in a new DH Brandon Drury from the Redlegs...and, of course the best closer in the biz, long haired hippie Josh Hader...we are now set for a run at the Bums...Jr is a couple of weeks away, too...oh my...OK, the bar has been raised...the anticipation is outta sight...like in cool, daddio...think the ticket to see 'em just didn't get hard to get?...awesome...buckle up Chavez, here we come...

Boss got a new toy...a camera for watching Sammi...we marvel at the new contraption...me thinks, it is also, for keeping a sly eye on me, too...isn't this the way, Johnny Depp, was entrapped by his old wife?...hint hint...and ended up in court and SHE lost...

The Horse is only hacking once this week...so, I do see the DelMar racing mañana...and then...the weekend...of The Beach Boys!...am I pumped or what?...got a call from the Snooki, last nite...as he was wondering when the clan arrived up in Orygun...yup, The Beach Boys again at the infamous Orygun State Fair...I thought he was gonna say, that they had other plans...BTW, it is the same day of the new Ducks vs the Georgia Bulldogs opening football game...in the south...

Hey, I got the answer to the numbers on the backs of the watches...as I took a couple of them to get charged at our shop in Hillcrest...HE, writes on them when I bring 'em in...case closed...

We ordered and tried a new pizza maker jobbie...it rotates and also heats from above...the reviews were grand, and this one...was not a keeper...boooo...and back it goes...thus far, the oven does the best...well, it does free up more space in our pantry...that is what it is called, right?...

There were some primaries last nite in the voting world...yes, some of the trump endorsed forevers, got the nod in the republican races...OK...but the biggee, was in Kansas, where the right to limited abortions was given the OK...rejecting the ruling of the too conservative SCOTUS...ah, here we go...nice job, women of Kansas...you have spoken...

80* today here in south SoCal...I see a dip in the pool in our future...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
