Fertility Rate?



Oh my, every once in a while...ah, a GREAT while...the Horse comes upon an article that stops him right in his tracks...hooves scratching the pavement...this from South Korea...not the North...a percentage that I have never heard of before...the Fertility Rate...have you?...where this country of Korea has now more deaths than births...was this by design?...in fact, they have births later in life than most anyone...over 30, like 33.4+...really...these numbers mean little to me, that countries in Africa have like 5 and 6...whatever that means...the USA has like 1.6...Japan 1.3...these stats are from 2021...so we are talking recent...I guess I never thought that anywhere on earth, we would have less births than deaths...South Korea's number is 0.8...

To maintain a stable population, countries need a fertility rate of 2.1...anything above that indicates population growth...so, we the USA, don't meet that...in South Korea, they have had their numbers fall since 2015...which is called a 'population death cross'...who comes up with these?...yea, and they have 16.8% of their pop, over 65...only 11.8% under 14...

Reasoning?...more women in the work force...needed to make enough money to deal with pricing...thus, as they say there 'we have no time for having (making) babies'...

Kinda...these abbreviations for things in the DC area...some we know, CIA, FBI, then we have POTUS, SCOTUS, FLOTUS, and now a new one WPOTUS...worst president of all time, trump...

BTW, trump in power...in the WH...where he squatted...wanted his secret name to be 'humble'...hilarity ensued and he was given 'mogul'...Prez B called orange 'the former guy'...he also has been dubbed 'The Cheeto'...'Agent Orange'...'Donald Covfefe'....guess who was named 'Princess Royal?'...

The Friars are in Kansas City for a set...to say that they (we) are in scramble mode, is an understatement...time to play up to abilities...pressure?...why not?...listen dudes, you are getting paid quite nicely to PLAY a game...perform...

This day, a court ordered a redacted version of why trump's pad was searched, ah, raided...what was being looked for, etc...bet you never knew the word 'redacted' until he was impeached the 1st time...figure it will be on all the stations at about 9 am, our time...out here on the other coast...

Why always from this guy?...you will be hearing from many Repubs who are crying foul about the Biden Student Loan money break...this is peculiar as they were granted much greater 'free' money due to a business loan program that donny, hid under the CARES Act in 2020...a scheme that trump came up with during the Covid Pandemic...where certain businesses, self-employed workers, sole proprietors, certain nonprofit orgs and tribal businesses continue to pay their workers via the infamous PPP...another of those abbreviations...it is the Paycheck Protection Program...$953 BILLION...of course one had to apply for it...and isn't it odd that many who got the break...were Repubs...and THEN had them FORGIVEN!...got their loan and then paid off, one such was MTG, ah, Marjorie Taylor Greene...to the amount of $183,504...and now SHE is complaining...MTG, STFU...see if you can figure that response out...

We had a terrific nite with our dawg...she was 'back' to normal...as we (Boss) altered the meds...gosh, sleep is wonderful...

So at a speech, Prez B was heckled by a trump forever...'you stole the election'...Prez B's response 'folks, ignorance knows no bounds'...

I started today's blog with fertility rate, and ended up with a song from the 4 Seasons...from South Korea, 'Bye Bye, Baby'...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
