A Sunday Stroll

Down memory lane...used to be...back when...on a Sunday...it was for family...church, no school, no parties, a gathering at the dinner table, the stores were shuttered, in fact, you may have just gone for a walk...a leisurely one in the park...or, just down the street...smelled the fresh air...greeted folks as you passed by...yup, a Sunday Stroll...

Then, like magic...POOF...it was all gone...when?...mid 70's I think...the demise of it all...think about the things I wrote about in the first paragraph...how many still exist?...and when you pass by some people you don't know, how many do you greet?...most keep their heads down and just...walk on by...

Ya never locked your front door...now, who doesn't?...trust is a bust...

Let's mosey on...

There is something very peculiar going on in the umpiring center in Jersey...as two calls in the past week were overturned for nefarious reasons...calls that were crucial to the Padres winning...last night's version, was as odious as there is...a fake 'blocking the plate' at home interpretation...yes, something is amiss...gosh, I hope money is not involved...but, it is in Jersey...hmmm...

As I have thought back over time to shenanigans that have been done by politicians...none even come close to the ones, that Boebert, Cruz, Greene, Gaetz, Cawthorn, and Gosar...the forever sextuplet...that lie, cheat, shout and repeat their stuff...on a daily basis...somebody must believe the crap they throw...in my 70+ years of existence, I note that these 6 are in a league of shame, all by themselves...

Of course, we have never seen the likes of a trump before, too...which goes hand in hand with the 6 above....like a cult...something real deep tells me that white power is still a rage...in one of the most diversified countries in the World...egads, we do have a major problem...

We are on cloud nine, as our kids just born another...get this, on the due date!...what are the odds?...don't ask Jersey...all doing fine...

Turned on the YouTube and grooved last eve during dindin...Keith Whitley and George Strait...mellow, country twang...lurved it...Keith has passed on, but we need to see George in concert...one we have not...yet...Oh yea, and Shania, too...

Just south of our border...we are hearing that 'all Hell has broken loose'...cartel stuff...'shelter in place'...many of our SD workers live in Tijuana...fear for them...as we stay away from down yonder...

Salman Rushdie...an author that Iran wanted killed...for like 40 years now?...was attacked at a lecture in NYC in the past few days...with a knife...was stabbed 2 or 3 times, and is still alive...the assailant plead 'not guilty'...what?...

I know this is wrong...but, at times I get almost lethal in my thinking...when a person gets stabbed, the assailant should get stabbed, too...if a guy gets shot, he gets to shoot the shooter...if a person gets colecocked, the assailant should get the same...an eye for an eye...I know this is wrong...cuz, if prison is as bad as in 'Black Bird', the rest of their life is Hell...when imprisoned for their crime...

I am bragging, I know...but I make the very best Belgian Waffles...ever...just crispy and light...divine...don't hate me...

Full circle now, as the Sunday shall have a very nice brunch to start the day...
