The Long Shot


Egads, we are rushed for time this am...you know why...the links are calling...anyhoo, my blog title has to do with Horse Racing...when to bet the LONG SHOT...you see, there is a rhyme and reason for it...the Horse has it down when YOU should do so...here goes...ah, don't ever bet what I tell ya...

Maiden races...set for horses that have never won a race thus far in their history...sometimes, the sneaker will be when it has never even raced once...look for the jockey, trainer, and owner...they may be sitting on a winner...the High Dollar race...the best at the track...there is a reason that these fine animals are included...they all have a chance...witness, the last Kentucky Derby...so, there you go...

It's too bad that hoops has gone to the LONG SHOT, the 3 ball, only...ruined the beauty of the game...the fluidity of the 5 man passing offense...yet, there are those out there, that absolutely love it this way...stink 'em, I say...

The Friars stumbled badly in game 3 in NY...ugly effort...but, won 2/3...and move on to Detroit...history has not been kind to SD when playing in Michigan...let's hope this version has different results...

JLo is like the KFam...get in the news, via pix, each and every day...whatever it takes to stay in the limelight...must say, it works monetarily...

Gas prices have dropped for 41 straight days...the 'right' says that is not enough...OK...and that their theory is that it will rise to $10 for a gallon of petrol...forever yours...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
