Brits Change


For all of the happy hours, we are spending watching the Brit's Poldark...dark is indeed what has happened in the here and now Great Britain...as PM Boris Johnson, has agreed to step down from their leadership...this after many of his subordinates did the same...hint hint, donny...their parliamentary is wack, the way they all talk at the same time...odd...goofy...says me...anyhoo, the change is coming...and I have no idea who is on the docket...

Over yonder, in the Bulldog state of Georgia...the subpoenas are out for trump's blokes of interest...one such, Sen L Graham, is gonna fight it...why?...trying his best to have reasoning...the underlying notion, is that he must have something to hide...why else would he fight so?...lord, with all the judges we have, he surely will find one that supports his buffoonery...

On a much more positive note, the highly heralded grad from UO, hoopster Sabrina Ionescu, set an WNBA record of a triple double, scoring 30 points, too...playing for NY...her outside shot has improved so...terrific!...

Guess we shall stay in the college stuff...what on earth is happening in the NCAA?...no control, as teams are heading all over the place...perhaps, we should just have a football league, and leave the rest as it was...seeings, it is all about the pigskin dough, anyhow...

Today, the USA pro basketball player, Betsy Griner, is in court in Moscow...her 'trial' is ongoing...she is being used as fodder for the Russians...a trade, of a different magnitude, will probably save her life...

The bizarrely governed state of Florida, is in shambles...when it comes to education...teachers and administrators don't and won't work there...said to be lacking over 10,000...in the scramble mode for the districts to fill the vacancies...I wouldn't do it, no way, no how...

NFL...not for long...for Baker Mayfield...dahling of the media...1st player drafted a bit back by the fledgling Cleveland Browns...and was on the outs with them...got traded for a 5th round future draft pick to Carolina!...that Brown team is an unadulterated and adulterated mess of the highest extent...

So...this happened in real life yesterday...I hit a monster tee ball (perhaps, 240 yards)...for moi...however it sidled right up to the cart pathway, made of concrete...as I approached me ball, there was these two Korean golfers about ready to get into their cart (just finished another hole)..one pointed at my ball, and laughed uncontrollably...at it's predicament...well, mine, too...they were wearing medals or something, and I said 'can you hit this for me?'...more laughter, and then, she pointed to the other, and said 'only she can!'...I chastised them and scorned them for laughing at my situation...which only made them laugh harder...me thinks they have never seen a real live Injun before, and they were subject of nervous laughter...

Speaking of Braves...the Atlanta MLB team...the home crowd still proudly does the 'Injun Chop' at their games...interesting thing, is that ESPN drowned it out somehow on their feed...

Getting a bit edgy...last nite, we heard a pop pop pop pop...and more...then realized it was another air show of them fireworks...as I have told you prior, we have them all the time down here...still...

Saw that newspapers are closing at 2 a month...hmmm, at that rate, there won't be many in a couple of years...to choose from...you're gonna have to read the Horse for your info...

Maybe I should start to chart the weather for my readers...sun in the southwest, rain in the northwest, thunder and lightning in the southeast, and lots of hot air in DC...there you go...

Do you have a filter on your computer, to stop any hackers?...malware catchers?...

Interesting concept...brought up by some wise web net person...that the Constitution was written for back then...and back then has changed...perhaps, it is time to rewrite it...so, the Horse went deep into thought...yes, good idea...then no, bad idea...who do we trust to rewrite it?...shed ourselves of the silly electoral college...go with the popular vote...term limits for all politicians for 6 years, only...thus, constant new blood...ie, the Prez...and the Supreme Court members, who must be voted on by the public...don't get me started on how to censure lobbyists...

OK, enough thought provoking exploits for all of us to ponder...let's deliberate on this for awhile...let me know...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
