Saturday Swing


Had an awesome, yet short trip to see our kids...short in terms of stay, not from the length of time in the rig...the problem was our 16 year old dawg...just can't handle new...and was scaring me out of me wits...she needs the comforts of her home...a fact...so, back we came...and she appears to be back to normal...who says we cater to our Sammi?...

Did not see, but heard of the great wins by the Warriors and the Pads last nite...in the NBA, those two equal teams are tied at 2 games apiece...and the Pads?...won again today, which I did catch some of...on an OT win...weird stuff...the pitcher had a ball bounce, the catcher grabbed it...and all the while Manny took off for 3rd...probably a surprise to the catcher, AND to the rest of the Friar faithful...3B couldn't come up with it...and Machado kept on a burning home, to score the winning tally...BTW, this dude is my grandsons fav...which when we gave him the Machado Jersey, he would not take it off...so cool...priceless...

5 hours there, and 5 hours back...in back to back days...too much for the Horse...and I am beat...time for a bubbly...well, a shorty for sure...

The Pads are in a double header...but, the fans have to clear out, and then show tix for the 2nd one...BOOOOOO...greedy owners...

Speaking of greedy...the Norman Tour is off and running...JCC, and there you go...hate Norman...

Our kitchen?...still wrapped up...the next phase is Monday afternoon...hoping the shell comes off and we can use it again...just try to live without a kitchen, kids...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
