Primary Election Day


Good morning, kids...we did the Friars Fiesta last eve...grateful for the tix by the Dude...which ended up being more of a waltz and dining route thru the Gaslamp Quarter...by the time we got to the game...in the 2nd stanza, we were down by 3 already...weird, as many many people were still trying to get into the game...as when we arrived...

Our next step was to peruse the Padres Shop, for a genuine Machado jersey for the grandson, we are seeing in a few days...BTW, the store was packed to the gils...and then off to seek out our seats...in the 3rd deck...oh my, if you ever get these...well, suffice to say the players looked like tiny dots...as Boss reminded me 'it's the experience'...finished it off, with an ice cream cone...

Oh yea, the Friars lost badly...11-5...as the pitchers we used are the WORST we have...Snell (rhymes with smell), Stammen, and Hill...a recipe for disaster...all could be dropped, sent packing, or whatever...'how do I really feel?'...

Tonight, the hits just keep right on a coming...the Boz Skaggs Show out at Humphreys...we go early, and have the appetizers at the venue there...don't hate us, cuz we are beautiful people...LOL, ha ha, too funny, and full of sarcasm...

This is the Primary Election Day for Cali...we have voted by mail some time ago...but, the endless political commercials are barraging us on a daily basis...I have seen enough busts of donny, to throw tomatoes at...doesn't he fear vegetables?...wait, is a tomato a vegetable?...maybe he fears fruits...well, whatever, on Thursday he will get all that he has sowed...my guess, he will ride that presidential immunity thing as long as he can...er, former...a hint, is that the Coup Committee, will lead with a damning video docu...

Chilling recounter by a surviving teacher at the Uvalde Massacre...he not only put us back there, but called the inactive acting police force 'cowards'...what an absolute mess...and a disgrace to the profession...perhaps, the Republicans have it right...arm each school, theater, church, bar...with a machine gun security guard at all entrances...oh yea, and the Capitol Building...for sure, Mara Lago...

For youse who follow my scoring in golf...I was back to normal...my tired, inept, sorrowful play is gone...back to being chipper and a fun dude to be around...well, that last part is debatable...

Another few names quitting the PGA Tour for the Saudi one...Dustin Johnson, who is one of the better players...too much scratch to turn down....Lefty, who has lost all ability to play in the US against the youngins...figure Rickie is next, for the same reason as Lefty...would you do the same if guaranteed the type of money that they are offered to just PLAY on that tour?...performance funds...

I just can't fathom...all the money that these professional athletes get these days...millions and millions...how does this happen?...are the owners that rich?...do these new millionaires vote?...ha ha...right...must be the common man and woman, pay such high costs to see the players play...and yet, the newly funded millionaires, eat at McDonalds...

Hey, the Pinny has a new photo contest, that I will be passed over for again...odd, that all the friends of the committee, have their pix displayed...proudly...maybe I should include a 20 spot when I send in my entry...'how do I really feel?'...last time, they had 30 entries, and displayed 29...guess who was left out?...

Gonna finish up with the latest Laker hire as head coach...Darvin Ham...as he was conducting his 1st interview, he was commenting on controversial player of the Lake Show, Russ Westbrook...who was standing at the back of the interview room...basically, saying that ALL the players will have to play D...LOL...and the topper?...the rumor is that one of his assistants will be Sheed...what?...Rasheed Wallace!...OK, this may be a great show after all...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
