What is the difference between 'em?...the town and the city....one of those gray areas of definition...BUT, the city usually refers to a bigger area...probably in numbers pf people...and or land...recall Sgt Joe Friday, referring to LA as 'the city?'...Dragnet...however, I do recall Petula Clark singing about going 'Downtown'...was that NYC?...so, El Cajon is a town, and San Diego is a city?...I dunno, kids...I think the peops in El Cajon think they have a city, too...then why do some call those from the city, 'townies?'...not 'cityites'...
