Just THINK!

Before YOU go off on a defense of, or an accusatory rant...of the latest mass shootings, and killings...of children...put YOURSELF in the situation...a parent dropping off YOUR grade school child at school...as YOU meander off to do whatever YOU do...work, household, attend school YOURSELF...whatever YOU do...assuming that YOUR loved one is safe and at the school...

Which has taken hours and hours of dedicated time...to protect all that inhabit that space...security, locked doors, prepped teachers and staff, trained for the horrific things that may happen...that hopefully, will never occur...at YOUR school...

And then it happens...a shooter...young, as usual...armed himself with newly bought assault rifles...flak jacket...ammunition...with the intent of assassinating as many people as he can...this time, it is grade school kids...YOUR kid...how can this happen?...

YOU turn to whatever YOU can...religion?...why God?...why?...family?...spouse?...all so helpless...life seems to stop...as it should...now, just THINK!...

This is not unique...it has occurred often in the past in the country...the USA, supposedly the safest place on earth...some call for better mental health checks...OK...some call for tougher laws on guns sales...OK...some call for all teachers to be armed with their own guns...OK...some say that God will protect them...OK...some say for better background checks on potential gun buyers...OK...there are more...

In a few days, in the same state of these latest murders...Texas...the NRA is having a convention...featured speakers include the present Texas Governor Abbott, the Texas Senator Ted Cruz, and the hammer, former President trump...imagine...

For the life of me...I have never been as angry as I am now...what are our elected officials doing?...over and over, we see horrific bouts of killings, due to the assault rifle availability to all the people in America...Congress throws out their 'thoughts and prayers' and does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!...

We have but one option at our disposal...and that is to VOTE wisely...

Moving on...

A head cold...is what I thought...have had them over the past years a few times...we were to head on up to Montecito, to see the kids and their kid...our kids...all of them...but, to be sure...took a Covid test for safety...hey all, after 4 Covid shots...all the boosters I can have...the Horse has Covid!...WTH?...canceled everything...notified everyone I have been around...4 letter word, 4 letter word, 4 letter word...

Symptoms?...just the head cold...fortunately...but am quarantining for 5 days and then will test again...Boss tested negative...TG...we are in jeopardy for the Nashville trip...at the end of next week...

Sports...the Warriors mailed one in...same reason I gave yesterday...the Pads lost, as we went to Stammen, who can't pitch on the MLB level...he gave up a dinger...why?...why do I know that, and management does not?...

The interview of Steve Kerr on the latest assassinations...'we are being held hostage by 50 Senators'...is so telling and right on...as I said earlier, VOTE wisely...the only real say we have...
