At the Pool

What else would you do in 100* temp, other than plopping yourselves in the cool pool?…along with thousands of your newly adopted friends…the Mirage one is humongous, and can handle the numbers…

Of course the standing in line to get in is a drag…finding a pair of lounge chairs is even worse…but we did, sandwiched between couples from Texas and North Dakota…their stories were downright dinghy…

The Texans were from Austin…transplanted from Chicago about 7 years past…and said that Austin and the San Antonio areas, er cities, wait, towns…have grown so, that the traffic can’t handle it…45 days of over 100*, made me think they didn’t like their move…

Now the Bismarkians…oh my…she was a smoking…yup in the 100* heat…they wanted to talk…took me 1 minute to get that they were forevers…she wore a flag swim suit, I kid you not…he hated San Diego…brought back memories of boot camp…they were not vaccinated for Covid, as ‘most of North Dakota wasn’t’…did some checking, and 66% were…my guess is that most of their friends were not…and yes all, it takes all kinds…

The Pads shut out the Phillies?…well, I did bet a 20 spot on the Friars winning the World Series…

The Heat played stifling D and got the game vs the Celtics…I think this will go 7…tonight the Mavs and Dubs…can the one on five continue to win?

Had a terrific day at ‘Let it Ride’, as the dealer said “you a lucky man”…and when Boss Lady showed up, said “get him outta here”…

Went to Caesars shops…the whole area has been upgraded…of course, nobody I know (us) could afford to purchase anything from the tightly policed stores…most all had security…

The High Roller, not me, perhaps the mini whale Lindsey, ah no…I am referring to this humongous ferris wheel, south of us…which has 35 pods, that can hold 40 people each…that takes 30 minutes to circle, at $40 a pop…no latrine…take your own beverage…not my thang…

We meet up today with an amiga at BL’s fave, Mon Ami Gabi…then tonight is the Carrie Underwood concert…a good day…this is all happening due to them miracle Mackles babysitting our Sammi…

Pennsylvania what is wrong with you?…Doctor (?) Oz is still in the running…get a grip…

Finally, this Vegas is just busting out with people from everywhere!…as we were sipping one, to our left there were some younger than us laughing and enjoying themselves… then, over the sound system, came a BeeGees song…they broke out in unison, singing just like the group!…they were here from the UK, NOT Australia, they wanted me to know…for a wedding…terrific kids…
