Somewhere in the back of my mind, I wondered if the USA would do a visit to Ukraine...Great Britain did, and I thought it was inevitable we would...go to the besieged and highly defensive minded...and proud country...of course, with Putin giving orders to bomb, and blast anything moving...the trip would be as dangerous as one can imagine...yet, we did go...Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, was the chosen one...along with a delegation of US members...accompanied with a promise that we would indeed help them 'until their victory'...say what you will, you forevers, it was the right move...hopefully, you agree...unless you are on Putin's side...then off with you...
Date Nite...we dressed up to the nines?...well, Boss Lady did...and looked mighty fine, my good friends...took the Bug out to the country for some elegant Chinese food, at a newbie restaurant opened up at the Sycuan Casino...a bunch of surprises and observations awaited us...first of all, the casino has expanded immensely...so much, as you wander about and you'd think you are in Vegas...I kid you not...exact same atmosphere...and stuff...bands playing....bars everywhere...the tables, the slot machines, the poker...all there...2nd, the Chinese restaurant, was a disappointment...you ordered at the check in and they then brought it to ya...not what we were thinking...so...3rd...off to the Bull and Bourbon...their upscale steak and seafood ditty...they were not taking walk-ins until 8...but, the host got us a terrific spot in the bar...equal to any spot in the actual restaurant...and, get this, he took our order...we got extremely prompt and awesome service!...Boss got the salmon, and I, of course, got the filet...both, scrumpdilishis...aided by a unique twice baked, as the host said, thrice baked tater...divine...finished it off, with a bit of a time, trying the poker...then off we went...and add this...the place was so slammed, that there was no parking...cars waiting everywhere...I am talking 5 levels of that...oh well, put the top down on the VeeDub...boogied on home...and were greeted with another mob of sorts...going thru the Gaslamp...another huge gaggle of peops...must be the weather, kids...
Beisbol...the Pads...in control last eve...and the bullpen gave up some runs...this right now, is our problem...we have some, that are not major leaguers...and get hammered much too often...and we lost in OT to the Bucs...game 3 today, and the rubber match...
Alert...Leonid and Friends are in SD in October...we got tix immediately and contacted Snooki...and he and Laurie are flying down for the event...recall, we canceled last years show, as I was under the weather...if you don't know them, get on YouTube and seek them out...you will see why we jumped at the chance for the concert...
Did I tell you we went for a ride on the new hybrid bikes?...simply...awesome...am amazed at how they perform...not sure we will go back to the other type...that good...
As you know I try not to talk about death and dying...much...but, the passing of Naomi Judd was a stunner...76 yrs young...and apparently, due to mental illness...not sure how that causes death...
Just got a text from a fellow Travato (Cosmo) owner...that is buying a Betty Crocker Pizza Oven Cooker, at our suggestion...and is going to give his reviews back to us...no problem, dude, we are hooked...
My fellow golfing buddies are just having fits...as Jon Rahm is leading the T in Mexico...ABR (anyone but Rahm) is their cry...JCC and I think it is funny...
I can recall when our son, while in dental school, took us out in a boat on Lake Mead...wonder if that can still happen, as the Lake is dwindling...well, the water table is dropping...
