Let's Revisit 'WOKE'

BREAKING NEWS...VP Kamala Harris has been tested positive for Covid 19...what is more alarming, is that she has had her shots, and her two boosters, to boot...we are all at risk, still, kids...

The terminology used quite often in all of the news services...'WOKE'...people glance over it and think, I suppose, what it means...think they know what it means...the Horse has done this prior, but it is something worthy of redoing...there has been usage of 'WOKE POLICE', 'WOKE BRIGADE', 'WOKE CULTURE', 'STAY WOKE', 'WOKETOPIANS', and there are others...

The past tense of wake...kind of gets it going...I woke up...but the latest usage probably, and I do say probably, started in the release of a song by Erykah Badu, 'Master Teacher'...in 2008...where she used a phrase in her song, with passion 'I stay WOKE'...with reference to racial awareness...and it caught on...

The dictionaries try to cover the definition...often using it, er, referring to it, as slang...WOKE is social and racial awareness...perhaps, the latest of the attempted definitions...as people adopt words to fit their use of the language...as righteous the word is, the 'awakening of the people' to what's really going around them...the word got caught up in the 'Black Lives Matter' marches and revolts...the chatter was often and filled with WOKE...

Of course, those who disregarded the state of those affairs, or disagreed with them...used WOKE, too...more as a negative to slash the people who were voicing their opinions of the state of affairs...yes, you know...the other side...as divisive as this country has gone...since the 50's...pretty much referring to WOKE as them...the other people...the 'WOKETOPIANS' was the slang term that one of the ever loud mouth politicians out of Florida, Matt Gaetz, came up with...pictured here, is another Floridian, the Guv DeSantis...in his STOP speech...

Is it as simple as black and white?...hopefully, this will help you try to sift through the jargon that the news services are saying and using...a better understanding of WOKE...

Your guy trump, apparently knows the Brits situation, when it comes to the Queen...stating that Prince Harry is whipped by Meghan...and the Queen should have stripped them of their titles...our judicial system is not whipped by trump...and in NY, they have slapped a daily $10 grand fine, until he comes up with what they want...documents subpoenaed for the state attorney civil probe of his business practices...hmmm, he has always told his people to ignore the subpoenas...let's see where this goes...
