Moon River


I think way back in my blog history, this was a headline...'Moon River'...maybe not...after 13 or so years...I can't recall all of them...ah, no duh...picking and choosing what I want to share with you...can be extremely fun...I dig it...but don't want to be repetitive...this song, was a beauty by the great singer Andy Williams...for sure, others sang it, too...it was originally sung by Audrey Hepburn...in a flick 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'...lyrics by Johny Mercer and composed by the awesome Henry Mancini...always wondered if that was really her voice...it was...

Gonna name just a few that covered it after her....this list is unbelievable...to note that it was such a great song...Jerry Butler, Jane Morgan, The Lennon Sisters, Jay and the Americans, The Four Lads, Johnny Crawford, Perry Como, Bobby Rydell, Ben E. King, Ann-Margret, Anita Bryant, Dick and Deedee, Eydie Gorme, Pat Boone, Connie Francis, The Four Freshmen, Nancy Wilson, Patti Page, Paul Anka, Steve Lawrence, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Vee, Louis Armstrong, Teresa Brewer, Homer and Jethro (really), Barbara Mason, The Mills Brothers, Bobby Vinton, Jimmy Rodgers, Eartha Kitt, Sarah Vaughn, Trini Lopez, Brook Benton, The Lettermen, Lena Horne, Shirley Bassey and Johnny Mathis...amongst others...whew...you can go thru that list and find stars beyond stars...who really really could sing...

How this connects, is like a wowser...but race hoss owners have a bit of a struggle naming their horses...so, there is a time limit that one can use, to rename a hoss the same as one from the past...5 years after a horse has retired from racing and breeding...so if you see an 'Overland Express' somewhere...it is not the same one that this Horse bet on in the 80's...

Bizarre antics by the NFL bloke, Antonio Brown...of the, well he was, a Tampa Bay Buc...3rd quarter he tossed his jersey to the crowd and walked off the field...fortunately for him, he was in NYC...not in Tampa...he no longer is on the team...any team...don't care how talented one is, if there are those antics in his system...it hurts the 'team'...

I just read this back...skipped over what should have been said earlier...Audrey Hepburn was a fantastic actress...her role in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'...was so good, that it should make all of us, rewatch this film...find it and do so...an order from the Horse...


One of the things that we can see from our deck...ah, just like Sarah could (Russia)...(Palin)...the cruise ships docked at the Bayfront...which are ladened with virus...all types of it...yet, there are people lined up to cruise...I just don't get it...

Do you recall when the Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, remarked after an opening season loss 'to calm down, it's just one game'....he said it 2 seasons...and voila, his team won lots thereafter...do you recall when he said he wasn't vaccinated?...couple of weeks later, he was on the field...vaccinated?...nobody is saying...or asking...

A while back, I gave up many of my eyeglasses for those who might need 'em...Boss Lady called me a 'glass ______'...you can fill in the blank...dang if I didn't throw in one of my favs, by accident...we all make mistakes...

The NFL...added a 17th game to their regular season...ah, why?...the players were tired of the 4 game pre-season stuff...and knocked the pre-season to two...ah, what?...you see kids, it's all about the money...the owners don't want to lose any of the cash that the extra games bring in...these players, which are our very own gladiators...get beat up badly...do the right thing...16 games and 2 pre-season....and have all the owners dress up and play one series of plays...case would be closed...I would pay to see Spanos get in the action...

I know the theory of Costco...they have but a few choices for each thing...they have whittled it down for us...you know, you don't have to shop there...but dang it all, I can't find the Double Stuf Oreos in their warehouse...

Lots of talk about the '21 Coup attempt by the, well, whoever they were....on Jan 6...the Horse will get into that on the 6th, in 3 days...stay tuned...

A later tee time for the Boyz today...well, men...outcasts...whatever the name is...we shall bask in the heat...ah, 55* at tee time...up to 61* as the round wears on...sweet...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
