Find it Faster in the Yellow Pages


What on earth am I talking about?...the YELLOW PAGES?...egads, what century is the Horse stuck in?...wasn't that loooooong ago, kids...that you owned a land line telephone...the cell phone was futuristic...and one kinda looked forward to the yearly put out telephone book...that had EVERYONE'S number in it...unless, you objected, had your address in it, too...imagine that nowadays...nobody trusts anyone...like leaving your front door unlocked...anyhoo, if you wanted to find a pizza joint, you would look in the business section...the YELLOW PAGES...we would put sticky thangs there...to fast find them in the future...right, they are gone now...it is all in the past...

Are things for the better?...when we are talking telephones?...oh my, the cost is not...but the convenience is...I reckon...'I will call you when I get home'...ah, nope...it is immediate in this day and age...the safety of having them with you...priceless...for your kids and spouse...yea, it is better...except the bloody texting that I see each and every day on my way out to the course...by people not paying attention to the road...

The Indianapolis Pacers subs beat the Dubs last nite in NoCal...NBA...total embarrassing effort by Golden St...as they thought they could just show up and get the W...in the league, you can't do that...too many good players...except in Detroit...ha ha...BTW, the star of the game was Chris Duarte...UO Duck dude...was he that good in Eugene?...what did he do to improve so much?...27 Pts, 7 Reb, and 3 Stls...

We happened on a new series to watch on the pixels...HBO Max...'The White Lotus'...given to the Boss Lady by Regis and Cathy Lee...wait, that is not right...Kelly and Ryan...that is it...a Hawaii based thang...actually shot in Wailea...as you can see shots of Molokai in the distance...try it, you may like it...we have just seen episode 1...

In a fluke...not to coincide with the above flick, the Boss Lady made some loco-mocos...pretty dang tasty, I might add...a Hawaiian treat that is very very unique...

The passing of the rocker Meat Loaf (Michael Lee Aday)...at the tender age of 74 (gulp)...the Horse's age...died from Covid...not sure if he was vaccinated, but spoke out against mandates...hmmm...

The stock market has been in shambles now for a bit...hate the thang...looking for a rebound, but it won't be today...acc to the Futures...

Imagine, you are set for your dream trip to London and then the rest of Europe...and the pilot changes direction...and flies back to the starting point in Miami...some lady will not wear a mask...the Horse does not have enough flight pills for this sort of thing...must be a forever...

This is what we have been waiting for...it is 'International Sweat Pants Day'...hallelujah, we say in unison...as I just got some dandies from Costco...terrific fit and elastic on the ankles...keeping me toasty on these freezing mornings (50*) here in south SoCal...

OK, time for some picks in the NFL playoffs...ah, do NOT bet these...never ever bet the NFL...Titans over the Bengals...Pack squashing the 49ers...and my two upsets...Rams over Brady...Bills over the Chiefs...both nail biters...weather?...no precipitation in any of the 4 sites...Nashville will be 36*, Green Bay will be 9*, Tampa bay will be 59*, and Kansas City will be 41*...all temps at kick off...

This came up...and want some input...there is a rumor floating out about...that the lineups in MLB are strongly dictated by management, not by the manager on the field...like the GM's...any truth to this?...IF this is the case, AJ should be the one fired...in SD...

The Horse made some Fisher Scones yesterday...the real mix...and it is delicious...just like the Fair's version...really...got mine from Amazon...a 6 pack...which goes to show, that I buy things other than beer in a six pack...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
