And Your Bird Can Sing


It has been said, that in their heyday, the Beatles could read a newspaper (what's that?), take a look around them, and watch the telly...and come up with ideas for songs...many of the hits from Sgt. Pepper were done just like that...who knows about the 'White Album'...as they got into the 'doobs'...they did have pent up emotions that came out, too...as most of us from that era, dug whatever they released...actually, could hardly wait for their next album...and NOBODY, I mean NOBODY, covered songs of the past like they did...'Twist and Shout'...

For no reason at all, it reminded me of the infamous Chuck Berry...who was talented galore...but, a strange cat for sure...we saw him in concert and were dumbfounded...as he played 5 songs, then left the stage...really...who knows why...but, the lights came on...we all booed...and that was that...

I guess I am starting with music today...as we were preparing the din din last eve...we asked Siri for some Johnny Mathis music...first of all, she tried to sign us up for some monthly music subscription...ah, NO!...and then she said, 'here are some songs that are from that genre'...well, something like that...'Chances Are'...played...man, he was and is, the BEST...

The numbers are skyrocketing for those infected by the Covid and it's variants...makes you wonder if there is any protection...the shots, apparently, keep it from being deadly...is that where we are now?...are we going back to isolation?...

Tomorrow marks the one year date, that trump tried a coup (allegedly)...he actually was going to do one of his 'speeches'...thought better of that, and canceled...ah, wonder who convinced him?...as, he didn't or doesn't listen to many...people that try advise him...you do know that the O'Reilly/trump speech tour got canceled...cuz very few forevers were showing up...were they charging $?...that, too...who would pay scratch to watch that?...

The Horse watched a college hoop game last eve...used to never miss 'em...but, since the game has changed, have little interest...flipping channels and stopped on the LSU/Kentucky one...was mildly surprised as the Bengal Tigers play DEFENSE!...out of maybe 185 D-1 schools, they have to be one of 10 that do...as LSU won it at the end, cuz of the D...(SDSU does, too)...

I will give you that Lebron is playing well right now for the LaLa Lakers...but, as his elder Laker players have said...like out loud...'act with class'...they are not happy with his showboating...would Kareem do this?...no....would Magic?...nope...would Elgin?...never...would Jerry?...not on your life...

How many times a week, do you get messages on your phone to re-up your car's warranty?...at least twice...goes directly to my spam...and my do not ring list...

I have said this before...but, for pure prevention...in all schools...the doors should be replaced with bullet proof ones...whatever the cost may be...the more I say this, perhaps, it will happen...

Time for some really really good FCTF news...KK 'unfollows' Miley, on Instagram...due to her collaboration with new BF Pete Davidson...the Tonight Show special...and nothing is more devastating than to be unfollowed...she showed her...as Cosmo liketh the 'cat fight'...

One more FCTF...Tristan apologized to Khloe, cuz he fathered another child from another lady...she and we all understand...ah, what?...

The Powerball Jackpot is crazy huge...if I won it, what would I do?...buy an island...staff it with deserving souls...build a golf course on it...staff that with deserving souls...buy a jet...staff it with deserving souls...wait, how much money will I win?...

My experiment...ah, resolution...to drink pop and tea, without the artificial sweetener...may be a bust...just like most every NY's ones...something tells me, sugar is worse than aspartame...and it does taste different...I dunno, kids...the Horse is wavering...

As we deal with our own thangs...imagine this...Taiwan is doing drills to intercept attacks from China...in the air, on land, and in the sea...think we have problems?...

It's Wednesday, and the Horse is heading out to the course...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
