Happy Festivus!

Thought that this day would never get here...December the 23rd...HAPPY FESTIVUS!...for the rest of us...uniquely created by the dynamic duo of Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld...taken forth in the show by Frank Castanza...it brought meaning to absolutely nothing...which in itself, is way cool...as that was what the Seinfeld Show was all about...something about nothing...and I lurved it...still do...how many times do we (I) make mention of something that came up from those brilliant comedic minds?...all the time...for you not in the know...first of all, how can you be?...but, let's go with that you are...this is all tongue in cheek...and Christmas goes on as planned...

I read that Senator Joe Manchin, who is killing the 'Build Back Better Plan'...money for the non-rich and cost saving measures for us (the other 99%) that he 'just can't get his head around'...lives on a yacht and drives a Maserati...hmmm...any truth to that?...well now...he does live on the boat, that he indeed owns...while in DC...and yes, does drive a Maserati...but, we all have to live, right?...when we are working...just to get by, while in the decision making arena...

Am I full of sarcasm today?...the NFL announced their all star teams...you know, for the Pro Bowl, that very few of the blokes show up to play in...so, if you were snubbed guys, there is a very good chance, you will get to suit up and play in the game...they still have it, right?...JCC...never ever watch it...

Not only is their one pill that is being manufactured for the Covid vaccine...but two...to be taken once you have symptoms...kind of reminds me of the polio epidemic when I was a youngin...same thing...first the shot, then the pill came about...

We cooked a Festivus ham last eve...got it from Von's (Safeway, for you PNWers)...it was divine...a 8 pounder that was just $19...spiral cut and came with the icing, er whatever that is called...gonna tell you right now, right at this time...it was the best ham we have ever had...better than Honeybaked?...you betcha...however, we are but 2...so, ham sands, ham and eggs, and ham and beans galore...coming our way...and freeze the rest...

Dang it if I didn't watch another bowl game...the Armed Services one...as Army made a dramatic comeback and actually won it on a FG...kind of exciting...this after their horrific showing vs the Navy...

The rains have not hit here yet...actually, we have partly sunny weather...pleasant...as we anticipate like up to 3 inches of the wet stuff...and it ain't gonna be white...

Recent years, the NBA has a full range of games scheduled for Christmas...wonder how many of them will be cancelled due to Covid?...should have had them on Festivus...and we all would have understood...

I lie in bed, and think of things to write about...by the time, I get up...I have forgotten them...is this a sign?...

Prez B will run in '24 if donny does...I dunno kids...both of them should reconsider...especially trump...well, he may be under lock and key then...

Thru the Apple TV...we can hear the Dolby Atmos sound...it is spectacular!...just at this time, not many shows use this technique...tried to watch 'Swan Song' featuring Mahershala Ali...too far out there for moi...but, the sound, was cool...BTW, he is the best new actor to come along in a while...saw him in 'House of Cards'...

With all the newness of the oldness of the Covid and it's variants...gatherings are tough to behold...one has to trust a lot of people...we are masking purnt near everywhere...just be careful, friends...don't want to lose any of ya...

And with that bit of downer talk, I do wish you all a very GREAT...Festivus...
