Christmas Eve

It's truly a bizarre time we live in...as we now approach another Christmas Day...originally the celebration of the birth of Christ...Jesus Christ...and then the overflow of emotions and perhaps, greed...I dunno...turned into more of a family gathering...an exchange of gifts...some actually go to a church for the day...some go on Christmas Eve...but now...we are stuck in seclusion...

As the days of deadly viruses encapsulate the earth...not just the USA...Covid and it's variants...dominate...the possible cures are out there...yet some, refuse to get the vaccinations and think their life can go on as per normal...as we approach the winter months here...the numbers that are affected grow...

Inasmuch as the worker bees out there in this great land...don't work...monstrous amounts of airplane flights have been cancelled...like NOW and tomorrow on Christmas Day...stranding people...and making many more postpone their trips to wherever they were headed...on the west coast, rain and snow have altered the pathways of the land, north and south...from Seattle to San Diego...

So...are we back to Zoom?...or via web chatting?...video thangs thru the cellphones?...yes, it is a bizarre time indeed...

OK, then...

This also applies to the sporting world...where some games are either scratched, postponed, or covered with substitutes...and we move on...one example, the Hawaii Bowl...canceled, cuz the host team can't field one...Hawaii...we have seen many of the other bowl games ladened with back ups, as the 'stars' are opting out...which begs me to ponder...'are these cats even trying to get the shots?'...I don't think so...I wonder what % are in this mode?...probably much more than we have been led to believe...much much more...

Did see 2 NBA games last eve...Xmas Eve Eve...some have called it...ha ha...Golden St (Curry!) in a fun match with the very much improved Memphis Grizzles...and oh my, the hapless Lakers getting destroyed by Pop's Spurs...my fav shot of the evening in LA, as LeBron came down the floor, ONE ON FIVE, mind you...and shot the rock from 25 ft...kabang...bong...clang, and then turned back and stared down the Spur bench...ha ha...he must have heard Xmas bells...from them...

Yes, we have gone backwards...masks required...no mass gatherings...and so on...yet, there are people still refusing the highly available vaccinations...makes no sense...

You know, I have only played my Christmas vinyls one day...the mood has been lacking...could be the weather...could be we have been on the road...just not conducive to the merriness of the season...maybe today will change that...fingers crossed...

Have to find something to change my mood....ah, this might do it...trump has asked the SC to do some masking all by themselves...to not let the Jan 6 coup committee to see his notes, emails, and orders to his forevers...pulling the executive privilege scam...if they do not, then I will be a very happy camper...his last straw...imagine...

OK, Chief, this is coming your way...the Kim Potter thing...as she was found guilty of manslaughter in the Daunte Wright's death...drawing the wrong weapon...and firing, right?...what's your take?...and this, the 14 year old in LA, who got killed by a stray bullet...while she was in the dressing room...should someone be held accountable for that?...I know, 2 different things...

Love Longmire...but, cmon, Rainier Beer?...they still make that?...

Gonna leave you with this...which is very unHorselike....have you ever just sat back and wondered how this all could happen...been made as a human being...growing up...getting bigger and bigger...learning to walk and talk...eat, and other functions...how the body does that...developing thinking skills...making decisions...figuring life's paths...how the brain works...there just has to be a higher being...just has to be...or is there?...why a life span is 30 to 100 years...why?...there just has to be more, right?...
