Nudging November

The NFL is in the mid-season stuff...loads of injuries, apathy by the players, the cellar dwellers wanting changes...by all, especially the rich owners...anyhoo...the Pats won again over the Chargers...TT lost to the Saints...the Cowboys beat the Viks, with a backup QB...the line of the Rams/Texans game was 16 1/2...really...and they won by 16 and thus, you lost if you bet LA...told you it was too much...them Vegas blokes know their biz...

The Astros won game 5 and move it back into the wild and willy west, ah, Texas...where anything goes...World Series...why not move it to Waco, and make this whole paragraph total alliteration?...what?...wack!...

Does the cancelation of the American Airlines flights have anything to do with their stewardess getting hit last week by a passenger?...ah, they may be called flight attendants now...I am old school stupid...the company says weather issues...and ?...anyway, there are thousands of stranded passengers, waiting for something...to get where they were going...

Horse racing...the annual prestigious Breeder's Cup is this weekend out at Del Mar...nope, have no tix, but will scope them out and bet from the friendly confines of the condo...if one hits 20%, you make scratch...almost ANY horse can win...any race...def miss Hdcp Andy and his smile, his knowledge and well, just him...

Speaking of Texas...and it's irascible Guv, Abbott...'hey abbott!' ( Lou Costello)...he says he is spending $2 billion bucks on razor fencing and a wall on the Texan/Mexico border...the fencing is made in China...the razors from Germany...tongue in cheek...

These shortened thangs, that we are ALL supposed to know...POTUS, WOTUS, SCOTUS, FLOTUS, VOTUS....well, you get me drift...SCOTUS is re-examining the abortion law in Texas (there is that bloody state again)...Abbott is calling BS, and wants to know if the TSSC can just handle their own...biz...hey, a thought, how about seceding from the union?...you have my vote...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
