The mighty Ducks persevered...in an upset over the Chip Kelley's UCLA Bruins...of course, it took yet another defensive stand to win it...this time an interception to quell the efforts of the opponent...must say the UCLA QB is one tough cookie...repeatedly took hard, very hard shots, by the Thebidoux (sp) led D...got up and delivered great throws...until he didn't, as their backup had to finish the game...and threw the intercept that ended the matchup...

SDSU got another upset win over the entire Air Force in the mile high city...still undefeated, folks...OSU (the PNW one) beat Utah, in another upset...the Beavs keep improving...

The Braves won the set over the Bums...ah, too bad...if you don't win in LA or NYC, you have to sell your soul to defend the loss...blame game goes everywhere...the amount of $ that the owners spend on players to buy their championship, well, they want more for their investments...in the end, the Braves vs the Astros...who ya got?...

Today's NFL...gonna go out on a limb and pick 2 upsets...don't bet these...ha ha...but, I have Cincy beating the Ravens...and the Titans handling the Chiefs...

Da weather...whatever a 'bomb cyclone' is...it may appear in NoCal in the next few days...might even make it's way down here in south SoCal...well, the wet stuff may...my son is sand bagging up his office in Montecito, ah, just on case...the hardest to be hit, is in the SF region...if you can believe the weather peops...

Local stuff...we had date nite...went to Roy's for a terrific dindin....fish plates...and then to the outside venue, Rady's...to see the symphony and the 'musical' Chicago...mighty disappointing...as the cast READ their lines...no movement, dancing or...nuttin...did sing...so, we left at half time...it was the 2nd of two nites, doing the same show...I had a clue, as I asked the bartender what he thought..."didn't pay much attention, as I was working"...no, they don't when the music starts...one star, and that's giving them a break...

Sad stuff...the passing of Jay Black...'Jay and the Americans'...often called 'the voice'...awesome lead singer of the group...worth getting their greatest hits and marvel at his sound...always has been under appreciated...

It's been said forever, that they are so bad for you...but, dang it, they are so good...the American HOT DOG!...slap on the mustard and relish, like what's not to cherish?...beef, not chicken, or turkey, or fake...so says moi...
