Too Political


Can there be so much division in these amazing United States?...yes siree, Bob...seemingly each state is governed by the party affiliation that is at it's head...masks?...no masks?...closures?...no closures?...abortion?...no abortion?...threats?...no threats?...stay away?...come here?...voting rights?...no voting rights?...we live in bizarre times, kids...unfortunately, I have no answers...just more queries...how can this happen to us?...

Fund the police?...unfund the place?...inoculate for all at school?...no vaccinations?...doesn't this list go on and on?...we are right smack dab into division...who is right?...

The mighty Padres won their game in Arizona last eve, 3 nil...but the hot topic today for the scribes and social media?...our SP Blake Snell had a no hitter thru 7...and he was lifted...taken out and replaced...who does that?...unless, he asked to be removed (doubtful), then it was purely a managerial decision...the DBacks mustered up 3 hits to close out the game...yes, the Friars moved into a tie for the last wild card slot by winning...but, would you have done that?...not moi...

Brian Wilson...the legend...have to admit it was a total colossal failure...starting with him being escorted out on stage, via a walker, mind you...and he tried to sing...often, forgetting words...and off tune, too...his band, saved him mostly...younger dudes, who could play and sing...we were so close, we could see his face...just so odd...and really, kind of sad...we ended up feeling sorry for him...and left early...


The NFL...the teams had to cut their squads down to 53, I think...to get ready for game 1...the surprise was the QB from the Pats, Cam Newton...who, refuses to get the vaccine...and was out the last week of the pre-season...the feeling, is that ownership and management felt he was too big a risk to use...not knowing if he would pass Covid tests throughout the season...thus, they are going with a rookie QB, Mac Jones, from 'Bama...makes sense to me...oh yea...and this...the Detroit Lions...long known as a goofy product...cut both their kickers!...they got none...hmmm...

Cinnamon rolls...knew I would get you...totally wrong product for us to eat...consume...ravage...BUT...occasionally, needed...right?...do you make your own from scratch?...or, do you get them from the super in a can?...buy them already made from the bakery?...how about Cin-a bon?...with milk or coffee?...haven't had one for a couple of years...saw an ad on the Statesman Journal website...from Roth's (the BEST grocery store in the States)...made me think of it...we have nothing like that in south SoCal...


I moved my office, to THE office...am no longer out in the main room...the Boss Lady said I made too much of a mess out there...it was a true concern...I admit it...and now my mess is in the office...however, have ordered an organizer to hide me stuff...

Prez B gave his speech on what, why, and therefore...for the pull out of Afghanistan...made sense to me...and we have rid ourselves, albeit temporarily ...of that prodigious, misguided venture into there...took us 20 years to figure it out...which in itself is an embarrassment...to OUR foreign policy...

We lifted out over 120,000 people out of Afghanistan...which, reportedly was but 8500 Afghans...which begs the question...why were so many Americans over there anyhow?...I shall never figure the thing out...never...

Finally, the Q of the day...the Republicans are threatening the telephone companies...to NOT RELEASE the calls from Jan 6 that they made...ah, wonder why?...duh...and this is truly not TOO POLITICAL...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
