A Recall Vote

There are times that I just don't understand the voting scheme...what it takes to get a recall...sign a petition...get enough names...whatever that amount might be...then, go about the process of having a general election over it...hmmm, why can't that work for a president?...so, it must be up to the individual state to set up it's own boundaries...who checks the names on the petition?...right...some body...some one...right...there used to be a show on the telly 'Who Do You Trust?'...I'm gonna tell you right now, I trust NO ONE...from the Supreme Court on down...nobody...at least in politics...and the Supreme Court is now all about politics...not the law...sad state of affairs we have...

The recall vote is in Cali right now over the Guv Newsome...help me out here, that's why you have elections every 4 years...right?...if you don't like the job he or she is doing, vote someone else in during that timeline...anyhoo, the ballot came out...and it had 2 things on it...one, to recall or not recall him...then, if you tallied recall, then you had a choice of about 30 conservatives to vote for...really...it appears that the Repub money has decided on a talk show host...Larry Elder...who has been running a gaggle of ads on the tele...the method used it right out of the trump system...calling the election a fraud, before the votes are tallied...spreading as many lies as they can...with the theory, the more you say it, then it become a truth...it is what I would call a _hit show...to be blunt...

I believe the debacle is finally over today...but it does signify what will go on elsewhere...expect more and more of these recall votes...in all states, that have Demo leaders...further testing the political system we have...to be fair, there are some others running on the right...here they are...well, the 'top' 4?...

I still recall, there is that word again, a conversation I had with a conservative amigo...and he tried to tell me that not all votes are equal...that his was worth more than another...not as educated as him...I emphasized in vain, that a vote is a vote...he wasn't having any of it...and was using the Electoral College as an example...set up to ensure the 'right votes' were cast appropriately...

OK, let's move on...

For the life of me, and for the lives of others...why would you not get a Covid 19 vaccine?...I just don't get it...you forevers, trump got his...just a wild guess, but I bet all the Repubs in Congress got theirs...maybe Rand Paul didn't...afraid of a needle?...who are you modeling yourself after?...man, you can get it almost anywhere...do it...

The Raiders opened up the season in Vegas, at their new digs...looks pretty...terrific place for one...as they won in OT over the depleted Ravens...was it just me, or was that a bizarre game?...maybe cuz I just watch the 'Red Zone' on Sundays...and don't have to listen to mindless drivel of the play by play dudes...

My sources say that if you have an iPhone it is imperative to get the latest download...there have been hacks...I did so this am...takes about 20 minutes...

The Met Gala...OK, this is the funky time that the 'it' people wear the most outrageous clothes to a party...in NYC...of course...go to the Entertainment Weekly site...and you can see many of what the 'it' people wore...thank goodness I have Horse, as the singular names this peops use are out there...most of them, I do not know who they are...the worst?...the guys in whatever they are trying to sport...the best?...KK with a total black ensemble, that even covered her face...all of her...no skin showing, which is totally 180* from her norm....on the other hand, her sister Kendall, wore basically nothing...totally see through...and her mom?...looks like she got herself a new face to wear...bad bad Horse...but, true...

As I suggested yesterday, the days of being a HC for USC...were numbered...alas, Clay Helton, was indeed fired yesterday...a worldwide search will begin immediately...Snooki is available...rumor has it, that the school furnished a white bronco to escort him out to the airport...no, that's a lie...

Been so jealous of a waffle maker, that when you put the batter in, you flip it over...we have had our oldie forever, that has the 4 squares...so yes, we got one of them flippers...it actually does 2 at the same time...double flipper...can hardly wait to work it's magic...

Out at the club yesterday, a dude came up to moi...as I was wearing one of my UO caps...and he remarked 'great game Ducks', you got us...he was a Buckeye...you beat us cuz of your OLine...I had no comeback, as he was right on....GO DUCKS!...
