The Old Home Town

Took us 9 days to get to our old HOME TOWN!...Salem, Orygun....the last leg via a HWY we have never traveresed...before...I-5 was at a stand still, so we skipped on over to Albany and tried another route...Hwy 20...which paralleled the Willamette River...as we met up at 'reunion' of sorts at a local pizzeria...nobody there knew of that road, as they all were locals since childhood...ah, Greg Nolz did...

Walery's in lieu of Padingtons who was closed to inhouse dining...weird...but the pizza was great!...a number of peops joined us and we had fun fun fun...you don't get pizza like this in San Diego...and kudos to our hosts, the Snookis, who are generous enough to board us for a few days...as we pack in as much as we can while here...like a look see of all of our old homes...

Also, a real jolt...watching the news via the pixels...KGW 8...the SAME newspeople as ever...so used to that type moving on after a few years...apparently, not in these neck of the woods...the 1 thing not, is the lack of newspaper...local...the Statesman Journal is now done in PDX...too bad...day old news does NOT make it...

Hey, also on our trip here...we went thru Florence...man, there are some terrific views...Orygun is indeed beautiful...Boss Lady kept asking, 'so you want to move back, don't you'...ha ha...just stating the facts, maam....

The Olympics...it is covered way more up here...why is that?...I dunno...

The mighty Pads did get game 4 vs the Rockies...hmmm...need to get on a roll, Friars...if we are gonna catch the Giants...
